The media could not be loaded. I always wanted to get one jealously watching those guys looking for some “treasures” on a beach and finally found this one on Amazon. And my first impression is that now I don’t have to worry about kids spending all the time on the phones, tablets or other gadgets lol. This device is so much fun to use and explore “treasures” around. As soon as I assembled it, I didn’t even have a chance to get through the manual, my daughter had no patience and we went outside right away using it in as is mode. And it worked right out of the box. As you can see on my video, we purposely dropped a coin and were pretending to find it. And device did its job perfectly well - it found it. Funny thing it can detect the exact amount of the coin it finds, penny or a quarter, it showed us on a screen whatever we found. I loved a PP mode, where it detects the exact location of potential “treasure”. Of course I can’t wait to get through the whole manual, adjust all the settings I need to prevent false or unwanted alarms, but my family is still “playing” with this device outside, without giving me a chance to get through it more deeply. Whole device is pretty good quality built, feels very comfortable and lightweight (I’d say very lightweight for its size), has an adjustable metal (aluminum I believe) handle so the length can be adjusted for any member of the family, coil (a large one!) looks very sturdy and according to the description waterproof (did not try putting it underwater yet though). Good plus it has a big lcd screen for easy reading, which can be lightened up at night if you need it. Two 9 volt batteries are included which is another plus since I didn’t have to make a trip to the store to buy them (as probably the most of us I never keep those 9 volt batteries in my house because I basically never use them, well maybe once in two years to replace my garage door opener battery lol). Getting through some other reviews some people say it’s a kind of kids toy. As a beginner, I don’t have any experience with this kind of devices, but for me this detector definitely doesn’t look like it’s made for kids (but as said above the handle is adjustable so even kids can easily use it). According to the manual it has a bunch of setting I can adjust, for example I can silence any other metals and keep one for jewelry. It also shows you how deep your potential “treasure” is under the ground so you can dig it out with provided mini shovel (as shown on one of my pics). We actually found a quarter under ground and that was our first ever treasure found with this metal detector (and again it showed us on a screen it was a quarter and after digging it out we confirmed that wow). So yes, I’d say this device is a perfect addition to our family fun collection that everyone will use and it’s definitely not going to dust somewhere in a garage shelf or corner. Can’t wait to make a trip to a beach where sand digging will be another fun challenge and who knows, maybe we will find something really valuable lol. And oh yeah, all forgot, this metal detector is very simple to assemble/disassemble so it perfectly fits into a provided backpack for easy carrying. So my long time dream I guess came true and you might see me one day looking for treasures on one of your favorite beaches lol. Hope someone will find my review helpful. ... show more

Very satisfied with this metal detector, as it's a solid choice for beginners, especially kids. It’s relatively lightweight and easy to use. Adult participation likely required for first use and going through all the instructions. Some of the adjustments were good for different sized users and it still works surprisingly well for its price. I love how simple this metal detector is to put together and operate. The package included everything I needed to get started: batteries, headphones, shovel, carrying bag, and the detector. I also love that I could choose the colors I wanted. I did manage to go beyond the "max" line with the extension poles - an easy mistake to make. But it was simple enough to re-insert the extension and keep going. The display screen is very intuitive and I fiddled around with it before actually going to the manual. I'm using this to find nails and other items that could puncture tires in vehicles, mowers, and tractors after doing a roof project. So far this has been great! Just finding one nail with this saves me more than the cost of replacing a tire - so well worth the investment. Plus it's fun to use. It's lightweight and has adjustable sound levels. ... show more

This is an awesome metal detector! It arrived in perfect condition. You can set it on different settings. I love the blue color! My husband has taken it out and found lots of metal stuff!! Some great items, some not so great items!! It is exciting to see what you can find! I love that it comes with its own bag to store it in! It has big digital numbers. It is easy to carry around. This works perfectly and is so much fun to use. The construction appears solid and is easy to use. I love to comb beaches for unusual metal artifacts. A relaxing and enjoyable hobby. And, believe it or not, my father buried some gold coins in our yard years ago, but suddenly passed away with letting us know where he buried them.
