I was extremely surprised how strong the fan was being that it was built in and a lot smaller than the other 4-in fan that I purchased. With that being said it is about twice as strong as the other setup that I have and if I would have known that to begin with then I would have just purchased these from the beginning. With that being said I highly recommend them and they are very efficient and simple to use. And it also you can use it for intake or exhaust. Just flip it around and that will either breathe in or breathe out the airflow. It's a little bit louder than my other device but that's okay because the event fan is traveling a distance and also with curvature so I believe that's what's making a whistling noise. The carbon filter reduces the smell so it works very good! The only issue is I only have one of them , not four! LOL ... show more

It was cheaper so I had low expectations. It works well enough. The speed controller doesn’t do anything until 3or4. If turned up it gets a bit loud so functional speed is about the middle. But a lot easier setup with the fan inside the filter. I’m skeptical how long it will last but so far so good.

This worked perfect rite out of the box and into the tent! MELONFARM FOR THE WIN! Brought temps down in my veg and clone side of the tent perfectly has a prefilter on it just haven't put it on as of yet. For the fan it self it works great has a great adjustment knob that you can change the speed of the fan to suit your needs. On full blast it is just a touch loud but it is manageable to deal with. all in all this is well worth the money! by the way this one is good for a 2x2 or 3x3 at max. hope this helps anyone in the fence about buying one. i know im getting the larger 6in for sure when i need a new filter on the other side of my tent! :) ... show more

Looks great out the box and even better setup in my tent. The controller is fun to play with lol has a lot of various speed settings. As for sound , full blast you definitely hear it. My sweet spot is just below halfway on 😎. Very easy to install there are no stupid fully strings, the metal hooks are a ga,e changer for me personally. I do with it came with a mesh cover for the exhaust duct but i would buy again. ... show more

There was only styrofoam on one end of the filter so the end without got banged around and there was charcoal dust everywhere in the bag. Not enough damage to worry about but easily preventable.
