This is GREAT sunscreen to cover your scar, such as on your face or arms where the sunlight will be on it. You know you are supposed to keep your new scar out of the sun and this does that while treating it with the scar cream. It is white but absorbs really well and will disappear in a few minutes, does not leave anything to see except a slight shiny area but nobody will notice that. You might want to get the larger tube as you will use a lot of it. And yes it works, I have seen great results on my forehead scar in 2 months using this and the regular Mederma. But there is a difference!!! The regular Mederma (without sunscreen) dries to a crusty shiny hard surface. It also flakes off easily. I am sure it is working but you do see and feel the regular Mederma. NOT this one with the sunscreen, it is a different formula and is MUCH more comfortable on the skin and concealed. ... show more

I used this on the scar on my knee from knee replacement surgery! It was perfect because not only did it fade it but it has spf 30 which was needed because the Doctor wanted me to keep my knee out of the sun and I am a beach girl!

If you have had a cancerous mole or skin tag removed. This product will help reduce the appearance of scarring while protecting the affected area from the sun. I would still use this product sparingly and keep the affected area covered if you plan to be outdoors for a prolonged amount of time. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the product is only 0.7 ounces and although you do not need to apply a lot, it can become costly over time. ... show more

I’ve used this for scars but this sunscreen is my holy grail cream. I use this on my whole face every morning and it leaves it soooo smooth and glowy all day without being greasy or oily—considering I have very oily prone skin.

A cat scratched my face along the cheekbone while I was at work. I had anti-bac hand cleaner in my bag and immediately used it to clean the wound and stop the bleeding. Did further and better cleaning when I got home. Ordered the Mederma the next day and started applying it 3 days later when the wound had mostly healed. The second picture was taken 11 days after the scratch, and one week after applying Mederma twice a day. Wish I’d found this stuff sooner!
