This is a great laser engraver that is affordable for what you get with it and I think it's better that my 10W ATOMSTACK laser engraver. It is easy to put together in about 15 minutes you can have it up and running. It has decent size engraving area. It also engraves very good I can get the right color burn every time. I was new to laser engraving and wanted to get started, but was on a budget. The reviews made me a little skeptical, but I had no need to be. This device is well constructed and, if you follow the directions carefully, was not difficult to assemble. 5/10/2024 After all the issues customer service seems to want to go backwards. They are trying to tell me how to set the machine up in LightBurn or LaserGRBL. This has to be the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I have even sent pictures and it is truly frustrating that you can not get decent customer support. PLEASE FO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!! Even if they improve the hardware, the support makes it a terrible experience. I wish I could give then negative stars. 5/03/2024 The machine has begun stopping before finishing the project. I am again recommending you DO NOT BUY this machine. Customer support is very slow to respond and even when they do, they are not quick to resolve the issue. I have also purchased another brand laser and have no issues with it at all. This has convinced me that the Mecpow brand is very poorly made and supported. My biggest regret in this is that by fooling around with Mecpow customer support my return date has passe and I am stuck with this lousy machine. Again, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! 4/16/2024 The Customer Support has been very good about doing all hat was promised. I am sure they will continue to be as supportive as they have been thus far. I look forward to many more years of using my Mecpow X3 Pro and possibly buying another laser from them in the future. 03/26/2024 Update: The Mecpow customer support team has been in contact with me to resolve the issue. They have been very supportive of my issues and working verry hard to resolve them.     • Works great with some adjustments
Laser has plenty of power for the price point. If you can't connect to your PC, check the e-stop. It's gotten me a few times as there is no indication that it has been triggered. The mount for the laser head was sloppy when I first bought the unit, a quick adjustment of the bottom wheel got that fixed up nicely. The air pump that comes with this unit is an absolute pile of garbage. It worked well enough out of the box but the volume of air reduced dramatically during the first several hours of use. The pump would make the same sounds that it made when new but I was having scorching problems as well as reduced cut capacity. I replaced it with a super low pressure regulator connected to my shop air compressor. It made a drastic improvement in cut/engraving quality. At the end of the day, we are talking about a $200 10w diode laser that is SO much better than I expected at that price point. I made enough craft fair products just yesterday using this machine to pay for it two or three times over. Highly recommended ... show more

    • Many of the product features do not exist.
Assembly was easy (if you use the online instructions, not the ones that come in the box). The machine engraves and cuts "okay", but probably not as good as it should for 10W optical power. The rest is all false advertising. There is no way to have "seamless connectivity without a computer". You can only use the machine with a computer and a USB cable. Even with LaserGRBL or LightBurn (which require a computer) there is no WiFi, no smartphone app, and no mention anywhere on how to use the TF card. There is no "intelligent air assist" (you have to turn a control knob by hand). The "precision limit protection" is just really a homing function, there are no limit switches at the back or right of the machine so it is still possible to ram the laser head mechanism against those rails (I know, because I did). There is no customer service. When I asked questions on Amazon the only response I got was links on how to download LightBurn and LaserGRBL. When I wrote an email to the MecPow support address the response I got was that I needed to send a video showing the problem. None of these problems (except the limit switch one, which I do not want to repeat) can be documented on video. I have more to say, but I think this is sufficient. ... show more

It works but there is a definite lack of attention to detail. Out of the box the air assist pump was poorly assembled and I couldn't attach the air line - had to take it apart and correctly assemble it. The couplers on the main axis drive were tightened haphazardly so they would bind slightly - a few minutes spent loosening all of the coupler and tightening them all a little at a time was enough to get rid of most of the binding. But if I run the LaserGRBL accuracy test the small concentric circles and stars show excessive (to me) distortion. Laser is still able to burn small text clearly and at this level some distortion is expected. Finally the Z-axis rail fits poorly and when tightening it the laser head tilts about 5° - I will likely fix this in the future with some 3d prints since it doesn't materially affect the use of the engraver now. ... show more

My overall experience with this laser engraver is great. Very easy to set up and use with light burn software. The instructions that came with the machine was very informative with step by step instruction.
