Comparing this to the less expensive MDF747XPBO, the MD One is definitely superior and worth the extra money. Out of the box, the MD One just feels better. The rubber that is used for the hose is more flexible and has a matte textured feel to them that doesn't attract dust/lint. The bell/diaphragm is heavier and seems to be made of better stainless steel than the 747XPBO. The audio pick of heart and lung sounds is much clearer because of how well the MD One isolates the sound that you want. Both come with extra parts and the terrific Lifetime warranty/free parts for life. If you're on the fence about getting the 747XPBO or the MD One, get the MD One. You won't regret it. If you're debating about getting the MD One or a 3M Littman, it's up a toss up depending on your budget. I was prompt to order this stethoscope because my Littman lightweight wasn’t useful to hear heart sounds. Lung sounds were no problem but I was have to press very hard against skin just to hear heart sounds, and the external noises was very loud. Now, with this MDF stethoscope is a game changer!!! Auscultation is clearer for lungs and heart. Also, there was no need to firmly press against the skin to hear heart sounds or basically make your patient uncomfortable. This stethoscope is comfortable to wear, my ear canal doesn’t sweat when wearing this. The color is very bright and fun. Price is nice for its quality. ... show more

I can’t hear out of another very popular brand of stethoscope. I can however hear great out of MDF. This stethoscope is gorgeous and I have gotten compliments on it. Also it’s got a life time warranty. Perfect!
