This chair is great. I ordered one a year ago before I invested in more. This chair sits in FULL sun all day and still looks brand new without any discoloration. It is very strong with clear instructions on how to put it together. Took me maybe 30 minutes. The best part is the leg rest.

    • Great, Sturdy Adirondack Chairs with Clever Features

I purchased 2 Adirondack chairs from Mdeam, and was extremely impressed. I was worried that the products would either turn out to be cheaply made or difficult to assemble; neither of my fears were warranted. Having owned a pair of wooden Adirondack chairs that tended to weather pretty fast, I wanted to find a product that would last longer. These chairs use high density polyethylene, so they should withstand the elements better. And this composite turns out to be very sturdy; the chairs have some really good heft to them, so I’m assuming they’ll hold up to people’s weight, wear and tear, and whatever the weather throws at them. In fact, the weight of the products was perfect… not too cumbersome, but there’s no chance of having them blow away with bad shore storms. The assembly was extremely easy. I’ve had so many instances of products coming to me with no instructions, broken links to supposed instructions, or directions that are simply wrong. These instructions were perfect and easy to follow. And the various screws, bolts, washers, and nuts were sent in a sealed sleeve with clear labeling to avoid any missing parts or challenging assembly. The chairs also have amazing added-on features. There are cup holders on each armrest that swivel out when needed, but they stay protected underneath when not required for use. And each chair also provided 2 stabilizers on both sides so that they are kept more secure. The chairs also easily adjust back into 3 different settings. And there’s a retractable ottoman that slides back into the chair when not in use. Simply put, I love the Mdeam Adirondack chairs, and look forward to many years of use. I'm mostly satisfied with this Adirondack chair from MDeam. I have purchased four of them to go around my new Breeo fire pit. They look great! However, the assembly was a little frustrating. One of the four chairs the drill holes were off template by about 6 inches. For that I had to drill my own holes. Some of the dovetail cross pieces did not satisfactorily mate. As others have commented, the video directions and the paper directions do not match. But using common sense it is possible to figure out. I was drawn to these because of the HDPE composite material (made from milk jugs) because I do not want to have to maintain these chairs. It is very heavy material and the chairs were difficult to move out into the backyard (I'm 64). The material seems a little flexible, not rigid like wood. I'm fine with that, but worry over time that flexibility will translate to a stressed look, or even structural failure. But that's just a concern, it's not yet my reality. In conclusion, this is a solid Adirondack chair. I'm happy with the outcome. I would just encourage the vendor to improve upon their QC checks before shipping. ... show more

This is a great Adirondack chair. The reclining back and the stowable foot rest make it an outdoor recliner and it is comfy in both positions. I love it! The chair looks normal with the footrest stowed and it is easy to deploy and stow. One chair was damaged by delivery and their customer service responded promptly and sent a new chair. Edit: update! So after I submitted my review, the company reached out to me and explained to me exactly what happened to my chair. They provided a very helpful diagram showing that if the pins are not in on the sides of the chair, when you go to lift it it will put too much stress on the arm rests. Which may cause those screws to become weak or fall out. This is the same thing for if you try to sit in it while the pins are out. This seems obvious now after seeing the diagram and how this chair is meant to fold away. The seller offered to send me a replacement chair and additional table. The process has been very smooth and the customer service has been 10/10. Besides my mishap, these chairs are very good quality and made of sturdy material. They also look really nice as well! Original review: First thing I noticed is that the parts are not labeled accordingly with the instructions but luckily there’s only a few parts so it was fairly easy. Sitting in the chair the first time was fine. But as soon as I pulled out the foot rest the entire thing collapsed and fell to the ground. I am well below the weight limit of this chair. Just trying to pick it up screws holding the arm rest (that we’re already assembled not something I put together) detached and an entire screw fell out. I was excited for these and now I’m very sad. I ordered 2 of these and now I don’t know what I’m going to do - these were pretty expensive for how quickly they just fell apart. ... show more
