I don't really think this product did what I was hoping it would. It may have canceled out some of the redness in my hair, but I couldn't tell. I recently learned that cyan is better at canceling out red, so I think mixing the shampoo with a blue toned shampoo might help. The smell isn't bad, it's just not the most pleasant thing I've used. Oddly, the conditioner works well for me as a co-wash, better than some products that are advertised as a co-wash. I don't think I'll repurchase, but it doesn't mean it won't work for someone else. I got the shampoo/conditioner bundle and maybe should have bought the mask that goes with it to see better results. ... show more

It actually turned my hair a reddish tone after coloring my hair. Don’t know if I used it to soon (3) days after coloring or it just doesn’t work but I’m not impressed.

I have been on the hunt for a brown color depositing conditioner as I am a natural blonde but have been dying my hair dark for 20 years, I wanted to find a way to darken my hair without all the dying and this really is the best I tried of so many brands. As far as shampoo and conditioner of any kind it is my favorite but the color deposit does do exactly as I hoped it keeps it dark my only issue is that it takes all of the warmth from my color as it is intended to do and it does give it a slightly too cool almost black wash on my hair. That being said It is still the best quality and most effective stuff I’ve found and super worth the money which honestly isn’t bad for the amount you get, it really goes a long way. Overall I definitely recommend it but note if you’re looking for a warm color it may not be for you, again it specifically was made to do that so it’s not their fault it’s just my preference. ... show more

The smell is ok, was expecting better after reading reviews. Used it daily for weeks and didn’t see any noticeable difference in my hair color, red tint is still there. I’ll finish the bottles but without much expectations other than it cleans my hair and conditions ok.

Not green! This is intense, it's teal/blue/violet that needs a good shaking so it doesn't separate out the color elements. I discovered this with my lighter hair & greys, which grabbed the color. But it's great if you have yucky brown-orange hair trouble, or if you are doing a muted ash color - don't leave on too long! It is messy & will stain your everything, but I still think it's wonderful. Does not moisturize your hair, that’s why you use a good conditioner. It does dry out your hair. Again, use a good conditioner. DOES smell amazing!!! I would say the scent is a mix of tobacco and chocolate and I’m addicted. It definitely cools my red tones. I’m naturally a medium brunette with no red tones, went blonde for 3 years and recently dyed my hair back to brown. This helps amazingly. Will be buying again ... show more
