First of all, the price is great. Second of all, most of the purpose of locking something up is to deter the thief and make them work harder to get your stuff. That said, these are NOT the most sturdy locks. The actual locking mechanism is metal of course, but the black housings are a cheapish plastic. I don't think that makes them less secure, they just feel cheaper. These ARE on the thicker side of a cable lock, but I had a similar gauge cable lock get cut and my bike stolen just last year. If you intend to use these for a bike: They work great for securing your wheels, but please use a U or D bolt lock to secure the bike's frame to something. A thief will cut through this lock to get a bike, but it's not worth the risk for just a wheel. If you intend to use these for anything else: They will work as a deterrent, but they are FAR from secure to someone who might really want to get past these locks. Less obvious note: This package comes with 3 separate keys and 3 separate small keychains, and the keys ARE all interchangeable. For me, this is a bonus because I have backup keys. ... show more

Very useful locks. Much better price here than on local retail stores. Use for securing ladders, spare tires and loading ramps on trailers. Along with anything else I can think to keep safely. With multiple sets of these ,I insert the key and spray paint the key and lock area of all three the same color.
