Description

The Kryptonite New York Lock Fahgettaboudit Mini U-Lock features a 18 mm hardened max performance steel shackle with a double deadbolt anti-rotation design that resists bolt cutters and twisting leverage attacks. There is also a steel sleeve over the cross bar for double security. The lock’s disc-style cylinder with center keyway is protected by a vinyl coating and is pick and drill resistant. The keyway also features a sliding dust cover to protect the cylinder from dirt and debris when not in use. It includes three stainless steel keys with an ergonomic design to reduce torque and keep them from bending or breaking. One of the keys has an LED key fob for added visibility in the dark. Rated at 10 / 10 on our security scale, the New York Lock Fahgettaboudit Mini is good for quick stops in major metropolitan areas and all day & overnight on college campuses, suburbs, and rural areas. I trust this lock to protect my electric scooter for when I take it to school. The lock has some weight to it but nothing that would be considered crazy. It is a very sturdy U-lock but like other reviewers stated, the U part is quite a bit shorter compared to older and other Kryptonite U-lock models. I like that they provide a key with a blue light and I like that the bottom piece can be inserted in either end. Let's see how it goes! If you don’t want your bike stolen, get this lock! When I got this lock, it not only looked like a beast and felt like one, but it also had some serious weight to it. Totally worth every penny—super high quality! With the Fahgettaboudit lock, I feel confident no one can steal my bike. I bought it for my (Lectric) e-bike, and it works like a charm. I also love that it comes with multiple keys and that you can register them in case they’re ever lost or stolen. This lock is great at keeping honest people honest, amateur thieves from stealing your bike, but will not deter those with an angle grinder. This is great for someone riding ebikes (as the lock is like 5lbs), locking their bike to pop into stores or eating somewhere, and not planning on locking their bike up overnight.
