I really like this printer, this unit is specifically designed for printing wire labels, among other things. I am trying to find as many things to label as I can. Many of the reviews I read said that many people were having problems finding the heat shrink labels that would fit this unit. I had the same problem but found a work around. If you are labeling wires, chances are you have access to a hack saw. Using the saw, I cut the corner half way out on one side (see pictures) and the cartridge fit perfectly in the printer. La calidad de impresion es aceptable, se siente un poco regular la calidad de impresion al emplear las 4 lineas de impresion. También me disgusta el desperdicio innecesario de material en cada orden de impresión, la unica forma que encuentro para no desperdiciar tanta cinta, es que debes organizar inmediatamente todas las etiquetas a imprimir, para que así, solo se desperdicie los 3 cm de cinta al inicio y no en cada etiqueta, si vas a imprimir etiqueta por etiqueta, ten en cuenta que vas a perder 3 cm de producto antes de cada impresión. En cuanto a la calidad de la cinta termica, me parece grandiosa. La tengo probada en recipientes de mi cocina donde están junto a la estufa y con la grasa y calor de la zona, las etiquetas están bien adheridas y la impresión aún conserva el 100% de su nitidez ... show more

    • Buttons are hard to use
I’ve used a lot of label makers in the past at work, but decided I wanted my own for home. I would not buy this again. It is much harder to navigate. Even once I memorized how to navigate the settings. It still takes a long time to make the label you want compared to other label makers. The other big problem is the buttons are not very receptive. I do not have large fingers and I know how not to “fat finger” things. That being said, the arrow buttons do not work well, which you use every time and there is a significant lag from when you press any button to when it appears on the screen. And you have to wait for it to show on the screen before you go to the next letter or character. Bottom line: I end up having to backtrack- a lot. Very time consuming for a simple label maker. Spend some extra coin and buy a better setup. ... show more

I’m not sure what all the hype is about with the ones that gave negative reviews. I’ve used mine several times in the first day that I’ve had it out of the box, and have had no issues. I love it! I went with this one, instead of the brothers brand because it had an adapter for a plug into the wall, as well as…it does not waste much tape, where as as the brothers brand wasted a lot of tape, and did not have a plug in wall adapter; only batteries. Have yet to figure out how to decorate the labels before printing, but that will come with time. ... show more

    • Will NOT accept HSe-231 Heat shrink cartridge.
Bought this label printer specifically for labeling network cables. Description says will print heat shrink tubes. Manufacturer stated in answer to 2 questions that would print heat shrink tubes. In one question specifically asking about HSe-231 cartridge states that printer will print this cartridge. I have bought HSe-231 cartridges in 3 different brands and none will fit in printer. The back cover will not close with HSe-231 cartridge. I asked the manufacturer to provide a specific cartridge part number to use for heat shrink tubes and never received an answer. Printer works fine with laminated labels but if you want to print heat shrink tubes then look elsewhere, this printer will be a waste of your time and money as it will NOT do what it claims. ... show more

    • For the price it does what it needs to.
For basic labels such as wire labeling, panel labeling it does the job. Easy to use. This label maker does the basics if you need more than the basics get a more expensive one, but for my basic labeling on panels, wires, or just to label random things this does the job.
