When this Adirondack chair was delivered I was surprised by the weight of the box. It is listed as made of polystyrene and plastic, but it is a heavy, molded composite material. This chair has some substance! I'm taking off one star for the assembly instructions. It took 2 people about 20 minutes to get it all together with the included tools. The labeling of parts, nuts and bolts wasn't always clear, especially to know which way each part should face in/out. These aren't as easy to read as Ikea directions! A few areas of the surface were a bit rough but it came with a sanding block to smooth rough patches. Once assembled this is a very solid chair. Several people have tried it and found it comfortable- from someone 5'3' to 6'1". This will be a great addition to my patio. I can't say that it actually folds up, it is heavy enough that it is a struggle to lift without trying to fold it too! After I got this chair setup, it's awesome. I have it in my daily chill spot and it's perfect. Installing this on the other hand was a bit tricky. My suggestion to you is to read through the instructions, and just finish one side first. The instructions say to keep everything loose and tighten all the bolts at the end but honestly, it would've been easier if some of those were tightened ahead of time. The instruction do say to be careful with the chair, and that's because it does scratch pretty easily. Also, save yourself some headache and bring your own tools, The ones that are included are a joke. 5 stars for the chair after it's installed, 3 stars for the installation = 4 stars. ... show more

So this chair did take a little while to put together I want to say it took me about 20 minutes or possibly a little bit more to put this chair together I think I was missing one of the screws that I was supposed to have but luckily I have the same set of screws so I was able to put it together very well the instructions were fairly clear so so the fact that it took me a long time had nothing to do with the instructions more so just missing one screw that kind of threw me off but I really love this chair it's a good color it's nice and sturdy it does fold and I love that Beach or summer vibe that this gives and it looks great on my porch I absolutely love it it's surprisingly comfortable to sit on even though it's wood it's very comfortable I like that it leans back a little bit and it does make you relax and enjoy this is great on my porch especially on a sunny day ... show more
