  • Excellent Bench!
Color: black
I have had this bench for almost two years, so I thought it was time for a review. After almost two years, with multiple users using it every day, this bench still looks and functions like it's brand new. Putting it together was relatively easy thanks to my husbands ratchet set. If you use the included allen wrench, it may be a little more difficult/time consuming. The bench looks like it sits a little lower to the ground than some others, so I was a little concerned that my feet would be dragging the floor while doing extensions on the leg developer, but that has not been an issue for me (5'8) or my husband (5'11). The bench itself is very sturdy and easy to use. This has been a great purchase at a great price point and an excellent addition to our gym. ... show more

  • Great workout bench
Color: black
My husband and I recently upgraded to this bench to add in a leg workout. We both really like it. It has nice padding and was fairly easy for us to put together in about an hour working together. We were missing one round bolt, they supplied a square one instead. I contacted the support information included in the package using the Marcy email address since it was a weekend and got a quick response that the new bolt set would be shipped ASAP and that fixed us up. One more plus about this bench is it has wheels so it’s easy to move. We both found it to be very sturdy. I definitely recommend this bench and wouldn’t hesitate to buy from this company again. ... show more

  • Great For the Price
Color: black
If you're considering this bench you're probably not in the market to pay $300+ for a commercial grade bench and quad/hamstring extension - but this is a really good product for this price. PROS -Assembly... I've put together a lot of things and I thought this was really easy to assemble. All parts were there, instructions were pretty clear and I put it together myself in about an hour. -Weights... I have olympic sized plates, and they fit on there. Although if you have Olympic weights and lift more than 100lbs on extensions, you may not be able to fit them on. -Quality... the quality of the pieces, and what I assume is faux leather, seem pretty good. We'll see how the cushions and faux leather hold up over time. -Range of Motion... Some reviewers have noted they can't get full extensions, especially on the hamstring curl, and I wasn't either, HOWEVER, this bench does offer a lot of adjustments for the bench, seat, and the leg extensions themselves. I've added photos where you can see where to adjust - you just need to spend time playing around with the setting for each of these to find the right setting for your needs and height. I was able to find settings that allow me to almost do a full range hamstring curl, so in my book this is a PRO. ALSO I saw people mention they couldn't put the seat in upright position - you can - you just need to lower the seat setting to allow the backrest to come all the way up. CONS -Stability... To be fair it's not that unstable, but definitely not as stable as my previous Bowflex bench (which had 4 legs, this has 3). I'm able to do all exercises and feel safe, just something to be aware of if you lift heavy. Not really a con for me, but may be for some. -Size/Tall People... if you're well over 6' this bench is probably too small for you (especially for the extensions). I'd guess this bench may work for people up to 6'2" but maybe look at other reviews from tall people to see what they say. -Decline... Decline setting is pretty steep, but it works. Overall happy with my purchase so far and would recommend this bench at this price point (~$100-$130). You get what you pay for, so if you're on a budget and want a bench that does extensions IMO this does the trick. ... show more

  • Great Bench
Color: black
Great bench, really solid option for a decent price. Overall, I really like the bench. It's very sturdy and the leg extension works perfectly. My only complaint is that the leg curl is a bit hindered by the design. Other than that the bench is perfect for me.

  • Finally a detailed tall guy review
Color: White
Assembling the bench was pretty easy. It helps having a second set of hands. It took me less than 20 minutes to assemble. I tightened everything I could & the bench does have a wobble. It doesn’t feel unsafe but it is annoying. Also, I can’t get the sleeve that goes over the part that holds the weight to stay on. I’m not exactly sure how to either. Instructions weren’t very clear. The bench appears to be versatile & lightweight which makes moving it easy. The color appeared to look more light gray to me than white. Not a big deal to me. I’m 6’4 230lbs & consider myself to have long legs. I can’t do the leg extensions in a seated position. I have to lay the back down & sit further back on the bench. Even with that my feet are close to dragging the floor but I am able to get a good workout on my quads. My wife who’s 5’9 & long legged also felt she got a better workout doing the same thing. I use bumper plates & you could probably get 3 45lb plates on it. I have considered putting the bench on something so my legs won’t drag in the seated position. I will update this once I do. Overall I’m happy with my purchase. It is a great value. I did a lot of research before purchasing & if you’re over 6ft tall, there are a lot of mixed reviews on benches with leg extensions. **update: I contacted the seller who referred me to the manufacturer (Marcy). Apparently I was missing a screw to hold the sleeve in place. Marcy sent me a new sleeve with the screw. It tightened up without any issue & stays on. Marcy was very prompt on e-mailing me back (as was the seller) & shipped the item very quickly after contacting them. Also, I placed the front end of the bench on a piece of scrap wood. My legs didn’t come close to scraping the ground. So between that & using a cushion to sit on, I believe I can perfect the leg extension for my height. ... show more
