    • Perfect for small place set up
Very sturdy this is what attracted me to buy it. Does not decline, so skip it if you want that. Padding is light, but works for me. Assembly is a breeze since I've set up Marcy equipment before. Bench is light but won't tip over because of the rear supports. Recommended.

    • Sturdy base, needs more sturdy top
The media could not be loaded. Easy to put together (even the directions are easy to follow, though I’ve put a lot of things together so many I’m just use to bad instructions). You’ll want to use a socket wrench set along with the Allen wrenches they provide. The hardware (nuts, bolts, screws) come on a paper card with their descriptions printed in the paper. It’s all sealed with plastic, which is stuck to the paper. So when you peel off the plastic, most of those descriptions will be torn away too. Take a picture of them before you open it if you are not familiar with various hardware types and sizes. Overall, it’s a strong, sturdy bench. I wish the large pad, which you’d put your back on and which is adjustable from a flat position to the fully upright position, had a better track system for keeping the pad in place along its movement arc. The pad is held in place by a removable pin. The pad rocks back and forth when “locked” in place with the pin. When the pin is removed, the pad can (and will) freely fall with a hard thud onto the main support of the bench. Watch your fingers, and instruct your little kids not to mess with it. Easy way to break fingers if you’re not careful. Other than that, I expect this bench to hold up well. ... show more

    • Best incline bench out there
This bench is GREAT! In the flat position it is very comfortable doing dumbell presses and flys. It also adjust up to 90 degrees which is nice for shoulders, and a bonus is it is a short back support on it so when I do ez curl bar behind my head for triceps, the bench doesn't get in the way when its all the way adjusted up and I can extend my arm all the way down and back up for a full range of motion. Extremly stable bench design, and that is what drew me to the bench. In a world of confusing complicated designs that are made to break, MARCY keeps their designs simple and sturdy, which is nice to know that not every company is out there trying to design a product to break. MARCY you can tell is old school and just designs products that the customer can enjoy for many years. I sound like an infomercial.....but I don't work for MARCY. Just a satisfied customer. Great sturdy bench. It doesn’t decline but I already knew that. Wish it was a bit longer, feels odd at first when at 45 deg angle. 4 stars not 5 cause of this.

No regrets purchasing this bench. After 6 months of using 3-4 days per week I would still purchase this bench again. Perfect width, grippy base pads and a very solid overall feel. I am 6', 172 lbs and use for both barbell and dumbell exercises. I really don't have any qualms with it.
