Description

The 18V LXT Lithium-Ion cordless LED headlamp is a portable, hands-free light source for wherever the job takes you. The high-luminance 1.6W single L.E.D. Bulb provides 100 lumens, and up to 33 hours of continuous lamination on a single charge of an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery (sold separately). the headlamp can be powered by Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries with the battery holder and 47” cord that connects the battery holder to the lamp head. The lamp head adjusts 0 degrees to 90 degrees with 7 positive stops for improved lighting on your work surface. The non-slip rubber strap keeps the lamp head securely attached to hard hats. It can also be used as a stationary light by attaching the lamp head to the battery holder. It's part of Makita’s expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.

    • Great light with a junk headband.
I really like the concept of this light but a couple of things need improving. The light is very nice and very powerful, but a little too focused beam. It would work better as a work light if it was a wider flood lamp instead. The battery holder and belt clip is really sturdy and well made. The adjustable headband is total garbage and ripped before I could even put it on. The clear rubber material is weak and almost "rotten" right out of the box. I couldn't even slide the headband adjustment without it ripping in half. I have already ordered a much nicer headband from Amazon to put on it instead. It's a great little light but plan on spending another $10 on a better headband. ... show more

Soft silicon like headband that is very comfortable. Battery can hang on waist band; will last for hours and hours. Headlamp is light weight and has click positions that keep the light in place. Best headlamp I've used so far.

    • Excellent Product, But.......
Like many, I'm a fan of makita products. This one is great, very bright, but..... The cord is a little short. I'm 5'9 and it's just perfect for me If you are maybe 6' or taller, or have a long torso, you may have to clip the battery pack higher than your belt line...

If you have read the other reviews that say the cord it too short.....It's true the cord is TOO SHORT believe it. Not long enough to reach from head to a battery clipped on your belt and be out of the way. Must have been made for the shortest of people.

Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of makita tools. I have been using Makita exclusivity for a couple years now and have purchased a lot of their tools. I've attached a photo of my collection. I have been very happy with every makita purchase so far, But on this I should have listened to other reviews. Everything negative I read is true. The strap is some hard rubber that clearly won't hold up and is not comfortable to wear. The cord is too short to make it to your belt to clip the battery on comfortably unless your 5 ft. Tall or less and the head lamps i already have that i purchased at Home Depot are brighter. The only benefit is i don't have to buy replacement batteries like i do with the other head lamps since i have 19 makita batteries. To anyone looking to purchase this I would recommend waiting until they come out with an improved version. ... show more

The light itself works great. I gave it a poor review because I received it with a broken strap. It seemed like it wasn’t packaged properly after it was made and the silicone headband melted together rendering it useless....
