  • Solid for the money
Color: Black Style: 1913 Picatinny Rail Pattern Name: Gun Rest
I was on the fence about buying one of these for the last year. Now that I have it I am glad I made the purchase. The construction is stronger than I expected with a product primarily made out of plastic. All the operations are smooth and the total weight is about the same as the much more expensive but excellent Atlas. I like the smooth edges of the Magpul. When compared to a Harris there are no exposed springs or sharp edges. There is some movement when the legs are locked out, apparently for loading the bipod. The only other feature or lack thereof, is that the legs only fold forward. You cannot stow the legs back against the rifle. Not much of a downside except when storing in the safe. ... show more

  • Definable worth the money!
Color: Black Style: M-LOK Pattern Name: Gun Rest
Okay... I'm not into big name brands, because they don't deliver quality products as compared to the price most of the time. However, this bipod is so well worth the money. It's so good looking and works better than any bipod I have ever used. This product went on an officers firearm, and I hated to let it go. Shortly afterwards, I purchased more for the future. Magpul has no competition in the bipod and buttstock departments. ... show more

  • An excellent product that works better than you imagine it will!
Color: Flat Dark Earth Style: M-LOK Pattern Name: Gun Rest
I was skeptic of this bipod for sometime now. I am always a fan of metal vs plastic regardless of the type BUT this has made me question that idea. MAgpul seems to have really knocked it out of the park with this. Most of the parts that really matter are metal and the parts that are "plastic" are very solid and well finished. The pan lockout is a great touch as well. The adjustment knob is very robust, metal, and has great knurling. The legs are easy to manipulate and lock up solidly. The pan and tilt features work as expected and when "disabled" do not function at all. The stock initially seemed to have more play than I would like or I'm used to with an all metal bipod but when under weight it is rock solid! Having the ability to change the feet with most atlas or atlas compatible feet is an outstanding feature as well especially for those who shoot from less than ideal surfaces. Understand that if you treat this stock like crap I expect it will break and if you looking for something to haul into combat there are better choices BUT for your average person this will last for a long time! ... show more

  • Not as solid as I hoped
Color: Black Style: 1913 Picatinny Rail Pattern Name: Gun Rest
The look and installation are good but once deployed it has a lot of play in the legs. I believe it will be stable while shooting but just playing with the legs it moves a lot. In my opinion this bipod is not meant for long range shooting and is more for quick deployment situations. It is light and stores cleanly against the barrel. I am not sure I would buy this again but I would say the spring loaded options that cost much less are as good or better than this as a bipod but take up much more room and are not very light and do not have great build quality. With a few modifications, this will be the best out there for the money. Magpul- Please make it easier to lock out the Pan and pivot functions. ... show more

  • Used item for new price
Color: Black Style: M-LOK Pattern Name: Gun Rest
Got the bipod today. I think it’s really nice. I can see where people that wanted to extend the legs wouldn’t like it. They do seem a bit unstable but I won’t be extending them so I’m fine with it. I don’t anticipate using it that often. My complaint is not with the product but it was sold as new and was used. The bipod seems fine but the inside of the box where the legs and top inserted into were tore up where someone had removed it from the box. I wish Amazon would either not allow returns or sell them as used. Everything, everywhere is so expensive and then you get a used item when you bought a new one. Canceled my Prime for now. Looking at other options. Great bipod. ... show more

  • It works well
Color: Black Style: 1913 Picatinny Rail Pattern Name: Gun Rest
I installed this bipod on a 20 inch ar15 and it's relatively light weight and I like the adjustable height on the feet. I haven't had a chance to use it on the range yet, but i have a feeling it will work nicely. I will note that it does feel midly wobbly with some flex when deployed, but I don't see it being to big of an issue ... show more
