Of the Magid cut-resistant gloves I have reviewed, this one offers a medium thick coating of polyurethane on the palm and fingers. The glove retains flexibility and comfort that is lost with the gloves that have thicker coatings. The glove fabric is also thicker, and so a little be less breathable than lighter duty gloves. The polyurethane coating is not a grippy as latex or silicone. These gloves do not work on any of the touchscreens I own. They are machine washable. Fit is pretty good. ... show more

TLDR; They live up to the hype in the sales pitch for them. These were tightly woven and a near perfect form fit for my hand. It's great that they come in specific sizes so you can get a good fit so you don't have issues around machinery. No extra webbing between my fingers. No loose cuff at the end. I could easily use my hands and fingers as though they were not protected. Woven material is fairly thick and the protective finish provided a good grip on materials. It resisted basic attempts to cut through it with a package knife - that was as far as I was willing to intentionally test. I have some thinly woven cut resistant gloves and various pairs of leather gloves and these are definitely going to be my new go to gloves when I don't need heat or chemical resistance. ... show more

Okay, now I took a serrated knife, put one glove on, and tried cutting it. It didn't cut. I tried stabbing it, it felt like it punctured, I could feel the point hitting my hand, but nope, didn't go through at all. I tried using sand paper on it, not sure what grit it was, didn't even do anything to them. Now, I have female hands, so these are a big large for me, I didn't understand these are measured for "men hands". So, that's disappointing. But they do fit okay, but I honestly just wanted these for cutting stuff in the kitchen and moving stuff around. I honestly thought these wouldn't do what they said they did, but I have to believe, cause -I TRIED-. Which is actually pretty messed up once I think about it. If they didn't work, I'd have a cut up, punctured hand, with brush burn on the palms. Good thing they worked though. I never said I was smart, did I? If so, obviously, I'm wrong. ... show more

I have somewhat large hands for a woman and my husband’s hands are on the smaller side and these gloves are slightly large on us, but comfortably so! They’re not too bulky and really flexible. They have good grip and water resistance on the palm and fingers. They’re not insulated enough for cold weather, but are perfect for all other times of the year. As for the cut resistance, so far so good! I had a pocket knife slip while cutting a zip tie, and all was well. While I haven’t had any other instances of testing them against blades, they have held up against things like sharp fencing and even goose claws (not an everyday issue for most people, I know, but I figured it was worth a mention!). Okay, what else can I say about these Magid D-Roc work gloves? They are wonderful! My husband and I both use work gloves tackling just about any outdoor project... and with the extra safety feature as cut resistant, we have better peace of mind with those sharp blades and rough wood and blocks we often work with. The gloves are very comfortable and fit like a glove should! I did intentionally try to cut into one, as a test, and yes, the box cutter blade didn't get through the tough coating/material. First off gloves fit well but are on the thicker side and I can see myself using these when I am using chain saws or other tools that run risk of possibly getting cuts or nicked. Might be good for picker bushes too, I have not tried that yet but will now that I thought of it. They are a little on the expensive side but I feel they are worth it for that extra thick coating and protecting. ... show more
