  • Great Grip & Build Quality for the Price!
Size: rubber grip
I also have the SmallRig Top Handle Grip, which cost $20.00 more. In many ways, I like the less expensive ($30.00) MAGICRIG handle better. It has a easier to hold rubber grip, longer handle and comparable build quality. Highly recommended!

  • Magicrig hotshoe top handle
Size: aluminum alloy grip
I really like the versatility of this because I was able to mount my ssd, monitor, Hollyland Mars x without it feel awkward or bulky. The handle beat my expectations.

  • Sturdy hot shoe handle
Size: rubber grip
I have not used many hot shoe handles but from online reviews I worried it would not be sturdy but to my surprise, it was. Only gripe I have is that it requires an allen key to lock the mechanism tightly but other than that, the product is as described and I would definitely buy it again.

  • Decent product but mine was missing parts
Size: rubber grip
Oh how I would love it if I could actually reach out to the company but nope. The build is really nice but I was unable to attach it because mine was completely missing the square on the bottom to fit into the cold shoe. What a shame. And now it seems like its out of stock. Nice size and rubber grip

  • Top Handle grip for any camera with a hot-shoe mount
Size: aluminum alloy grip
The media could not be loaded. Fully assembled and includes allen wrench. No instructions. As long as you know how to attach an external flash you will be ok to attach anything via cold shoe mount. Attaching anything to the 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes is as easy as attaching a tripod. Setup. Attach to the hot-shoe mount on your camera, turn the silver dial until tight. Now you can use the allen wrench for the final tightening. This grip will will allow a few more options that are normally available on a camera. Attaching things like: video lights, microphones, monitors etc. Do you get a top handle grip or a cage? This option is normally a better price and more compact than a cage. The top handle has 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes, allowing you to add accessories. The 3 cold shoe mounts will allow you to add even more. Rigged this with my Nikon Z50. Sample clip attached. Added a Sokani Tiny Wireless Microphone system and a Suptig Video Light. The freedom to change attachments and quickly. The quality is great. Black Aluminum. Smooth edges. Weighs only 6.1 ounces. Attaches in seconds. Can be easily stored in your gear bag. How many 1/4" and how many 3/8" threaded holes? 34 1/4" and 22 3/8" NICE So you have many mounting options and can install arri accessories. MagicRig branding in white letters across the front of the grip. This top handle grip will allow me to get some nice low video shots and more. Budget friendly and will last a very long time. At least for cameras that have a hot shoe. A great gift for anyone wanting to add inexpensive gear to their video projects. Hope this was helpful. ... show more

  • Great fit and finish, very useful tool for low angle video
Size: aluminum alloy grip
It's amazing how something as simple as a little handle in a different position will make recording so much easier, but this is the ticket if you need to get your camera close to the ground without twisting your arm into uncomfortable positions. It includes additional cold shoe mounts for lights and mics, plus every inch of it is covered with threaded mounting points for other accessories. The anodized aluminum finish is dark back and blemish free. The machining is accurate and this is a high quality piece of gear. The knob for tightening the mount has sharp, grippy knurling on it and will be easy to operate even if your hands get sweaty or rained on. As for the actual wisdom of supporting the weight of your camera and lens from the hot shoe, that's possibly debatable, and it really depends on how the camera itself is built. Cameras with internal metal frames will be fine, but if it's a heavy camera and the hot shoe is mounted to nothing but plastic inside, I'd look for a different way to get a handle on it. I tested this out on my 80D and it felt solid with no flex. I didn't push the limits, but I think it's probably good to go on this camera. As far as a hot shoe handle goes, this is about as nice as you could ask for. ... show more
