Bought it in order to be able to make photos and shoot videos at the same time. This holder is a great idea, and I wish it was sturdier and may be slightly bigger. I have a large phone and this holder can't hold it securely, especially with a phone case on.

The whole unit is plastic. Getting the arms to fit your phone and lock into place is not easy and nearly break the arms each time I try to clamp it on the phone and I’m not confident in it holding it securely. Would have returned but didn’t item out to try in time.

I have a iPhone 16 Pro Max with a typical silicone case. As the pictures show, the clamp does NOT reach the edge of the phone/case. This allows the phone to slip right out of the clamp. I will not trust my phone to this clamp. Also, if you rotate the phone, the screw knob on the back comes into contact with the back of the phone/case. You can force it, but it causes some pressure/bending on the cheap plastic. And yes, the plastic feels VERY cheap. The pivot point that I thought would be useful has a series of detents that you can lock in place - but it feels unstable as well. NOT recommended if you value your phone! ... show more
