I purchased this set for camping but you have to make sure the handles don't get too close to the heat or they melt. Kinda hard to do when you're using them for cooking.

I should preface this by saying that I haven't used these yet, but I cook a lot and have done my share of camping as well. These are nice little pans - some camping cookware stays lightweight by being flimsy, and that's not the case here. On the other hand, they ARE lightweight and compact. The whole kit packs up nice and tight. It's EXACTLY what I wanted. Two things that other reviews mentioned are absolutely true: the scrubber is trash. It's like a little piece of a loofah - just cut a chunk off of a scrubby sponge and replace it, you'll be fine. Also the bowls are too tiny for any real use. They are not big enough for salsa or dip; they surely cannot hold an adult sized meal. Still, I didn't buy this for the scrubber or the bowls. I was buying pans, and these delivered! ... show more

For the price and the pictures, I was expecting larger pans. These are very small!! Almost comparable to a kids play kitchen set. Fine for one person maybe two.

when i received the item, i was a bit surprised by the size. i will say the pots/pans are smaller than i anticipated but that' my fault for not closely reading the description. having said that, it is quite sufficient for my needs. the function for the handles is quite useful and the entire set connects within a small package; and, then provided with a great wrap for ease of storage and transport. all in all, a decent set for the price. ... show more

Just got back from a 12 day East coast road trip. My wife and I used all the components, and loved everything about this set. We beat the piss out of these things and they held up great! We found for the two of us, this product fit our needs perfectly. It cleans up well - i do recommend some good soap and the cleaning sponge it came with. Green pads will scuff this pretty good. The wood spatula, tho short on the handle, was great. The ladles and bowls were nice for the soups and stews we cooked. Spray cooking oil or butter go along way to ensure easier cleaning. The food cooked evenly. Watch the handles over the heat source, we scorched the green coating on one pan. They are small pans, but perfect for compact, quick and easy cooking. So we've only used these a few times, but I'll tell you what I think so far. First, the weight is good. The pots are small, so don't try to cook a meal for 10 in this. Perfect for 2-4 though. The teflon on the outside was a god-send though as the black from the fire wiped right off. Pretty cool! The handles are... interesting. Be nice to them. I'm not sure how they'd handle direct heat (e.g. fire) and they're right next to the pan, but our fire is just smaller than the pot size and didn't extend up the sides, so we're fine so far. They're a LITTLE flimsy, so be careful with those handles. But for backpacking, they work just fine and cover all the bases for me and my daughter. I'd get them again, but looks like I wont need to! :D ... show more
