The blanket is NOT waterproof, noise proof, & I really didn't notice any weird smells to it, because we washed her blanket, before allowing her to cuddle up & sleep with it. My cat approves of this little blanket. It’s very soft and cozy. It’s small, and pretty thin, but still seems nice. It’s the perfect size so I can put a little blanket in front of the window for her. The pink is a very nice shade too.

My kittiens love the softness of this blanket. I put it into a little kitty hammock. They like to snuggle in it and knead with their paws. But it is pretty thin and cheaply made. I am afraid that if I put it through the washing machine that it would completely fall apart. I doubt it is water resistant. It wouldn't do much to protect furniture, if that's what you are buying it for. It serves its purpose for my kittens, and I'm glad it was cheap... you get what you pay for!
