These blankets hold up their soft, plush feel even after being machine washed. They also air dry quickly. Love the heart patterns and colors offered. My kittiens love the softness of this blanket. I put it into a little kitty hammock. They like to snuggle in it and knead with their paws. But it is pretty thin and cheaply made. I am afraid that if I put it through the washing machine that it would completely fall apart. I doubt it is water resistant. It wouldn't do much to protect furniture, if that's what you are buying it for. It serves its purpose for my kittens, and I'm glad it was cheap... you get what you pay for! This came tightly vacuum packed so I was a little concerned about it being soft and fuzzy. It came out of the plastic and was an instant hit with my cat. They are a bit of an expert on this subject so I defer to their opinions... I would buy this again.
