Have a lab then you know how they like to leave a water trail after drinking!!!! Although this doesn’t stop the water trails from happening it definitely cuts down on the amount. It slows our lab down when drinking and helps keep our kitchen floor dryer than before! Worth the purchase.

With a regular bowl, my german shepherd puppy would drink way too fast and shoot globs of water out of the sides of her mouth while she drank, leaving massive puddles. We were constantly refilling it and mopping to keep the floor dry. This new bowl is a lifesaver! She seems to enjoy drinking out of it, and now she drinks a little slower, and no more puddles! Our new, huge, GSD was a crazy water gulper and slobberer...literally leaving a large drippy trail every time he drinks, which is ofted, and we have newer wood floors in our house. The efforts to contain the runoff, and to quickly towel down the canteen jowls, right after every visit to the water bowl was getting ridiculous. I then learned about this water bowl on a FB Group, ordered it that same day, received it the next day, and...OMG this thing is worth every penny! Plus, I'm not having to dump out a bowl half full of a gross water/slobber mixture multiple times a day, because the dog is no longer backwashing in to the bowl at every gulp. Not too sure about the filter thing though...I don't want a dog bowl that requires replacing a filter regularly. So I have two Huskies and they are sloppy drinkers, so I saw this and thought I would give it a try, and with Amazons generous return policy, I thought what do I have to lose?! Well we're a couple of days in now and WOW this thing is nice and large so I don't have to keep filling it all the time, it is sturdy, and works like a charm! On the instructions it seems like some dogs don't take to it right away because they suggest giving them treats and such, but my two little fur babies took to it straight away! It's really a great idea, works awesome, isn't expensive at all, and best of all, saves me from having to mop up the floor everytime my dogs need a drink. We picked this up because our pup would constantly chug water so fast that he would make himself puke. The small volume of water accessible in the middle of the lid slows him down so much that he realizes he is satisfied before causing him to upchuck. It eliminated his daily vomit routine virtually immediately. Great construction, I can clean and dry it in 2 minutes flat, and both dogs took to it with maybe 2-3 minutes of showing them where the water was. I have a bulldog that makes the floor an absolute mess when she drinks water. A literal pond around the bowl area. I saw that a friend had a small one for their dog so I thought I’d give it a try. I was not optimistic because she is just a persistent mess maker. She plays in the water. I ordered the large one as I have 4 dogs. Imagine my surprise when I checked the water bowl to find it empty but not all over my floor! It really worked for her. It may take your dog a minute to get used to it but they will. My maxi-mini Australian Shepherd is a pretty sloppy drinker. He tends to put his entire nose into the water and gulp it down, then drip water on the floor as he shuffled away. Bought this bowl, hoping it would stop him from making such a mess. It works perfectly. He now licks it up from the center opening like a normal dog -- no more wet muzzle and trails of water drips on my floors! And its large size means we don't have to refill it constantly.
