I use this feeder when I leave for vacation or go out of town. I usually only leave for a week or so but this feeder has never let me down. But with that said it would be nice if the instructions were a little easier to understand. Once "set up" it's not tough. But if you have to change anything from you initial set up it can be confusing. The only other complaint I have is it is not possible to set it for less than a once a day feeding. I usually feed my fish every other day not daily. You have to be careful to set the amount of food to be disbursed as it could easily overfeed you fish and pollute the water if you are gone for more than a month. I strongly suggest that you set it up over a bowl on a table to do a test "feeding amount". You can adjust it to disperse the amount that will work for the number of fish you have. ... show more

I am really pleased with how well this fish feeder has worked for me. It was easy to setup and attach to my tank. The storage container for the fish food is very ample and can feed my 10 fish for 12-14 days. The battery life is also sufficient to cover this time period. The feeder has the ability to be setup to feed the fish 1 to 3 times a day, with the ability to vary the amount of food that is dispensed. The feeder also has the option to be mounted on the sidewall of the tank or to the top of the tank cover. I have a 20 gallon tank with 10 fish. Went to Australia for 45 days and returned to happy fish and a clear tank. I can't understand how this has a single bad review. There is a manual button, during set up I kept pressing it and adjusted the opening/dose until I got it where I wanted. I’ve had several automatic fish feeders. This one is easy to program and set up. The mount is sturdy (I used the adhesive pad). My only complaint is the rotation of the food dispenser is erratic (every rotation it stops in different positions) and sometimes moisture seems to get inside and it causes the food to get stuck/moldy.
