I got two of this same brand mini bulbs for forest animals, and they were amazing. However, I purchased two of these for my desert snakes, neither one worked at all. I gave them a few minutes each, in case they needed to warm up or something. That didn't work, so I tried another lamp style, more shallow, they didn't turn on in those either. The last one I had was this same brand, same bulb, and it lasted way longer than it says it does, so value is bang for your buck!
