I was originally disappointed with the Luba 2 and I was real concerned with some of the reviews of their customer service. I believe that all of my concerns have been put to rest. I had some real concerns over battery life and the unit constantly disconnecting from the GPS. I was able to solve all the disconnection issues with location changes and with their customer service. They were very responsive either by chat or by email. My concern with the battery was also addressed by their customer service. Luke was very responsive and worked to solve the problem. Eventually, it was decided that the wrong unit may have been sent and it was dealt with immediately (although there was a little confusion on return and replacement, the CS has been great to deal with). Programming of the unit is where you will be able to head off any problems. Although I think that the manual could do a better job at helping the user program, I was able to play with the features and was able to test some different map programming. Understanding the unit's limitations in small compact areas with a lot of obstacles will help in avoiding some frustration. I still have some tweaking to do but I think with work, it will be perfect. The features of the unit are extremely impressive. It mows straight lines (if desired) and will give that coveted stripped lawn look. The unit traverses difficult terrain without any problems. I am really glad that I worked through the difficulty of tweaking the setup. You can quickly set up the unit and it will do a decent job but if you put a little thought into the setup, I believe you will be impressed. I look forward to future enhancements like lawn writing that are said to be upcoming. I will caution that the battery life, even on my new unit, is a little misleading in their cut sheets. It claims to be able to mow for 3 hours. It also claims that it can mow .15 acres per hour. Although I am now getting about 2 1/2 hours of battery life, it can not conserve battery and mow the .15 acre/hour. The claims are based on a perfect condition and it probably will not be reached in a yard with any slope, obstacles, or any length on the grass being mowed. With this being said, if you cut your yard into manageable sections or are willing to understand that the unit will return to its charging base, the final outcome is awesome! The bottom line is that the unit and its features are outstanding and the company has been very responsive and seems to be continually looking for improvements for new and EXISTING units. If you have any techie ability, the difficulties can easily be worked through with the customer service. ... show more

    • there was nothing to be afraid of after all
i heard horror stories of the luba 2 being DOA or the RTK can't see enough satellites etc. but luckily i didn't have any of those issues. the only issue i have is that i place my charging station too close to the house so it can't see enough satellites. but that only gives me errors, it still charges and auto-works just fine. as soon as it moves away from the charging station, it works flawlessly. it follows the perimeter i set exactly to the T. it also works totally fine under the huge trees that cover half my yard. and honestly i broke some of the rules such as placing charging station too close to house, and placing rtk next to a wall and it still works so well. Pros: -the batteries for me work for a little over an hour before needing to recharge. it's a huge bonus because i didn't think it'd work for that long. -i just set it and forget it, no more mowing. i only have to deal with the edges which took me only 5 minutes. -it looks cool. all my hot female neighbors are gushing over the luba 2, and I think i might have a chance here. it's almost as if i bought a cute dog. -honestly easier to set up than i had thought. cons: -no wall mount. seriously, even if you bought one, it won't fit because it's a different size from normal anntenna or starlink sizes. the official luba 2 wall mount is still a month away. so if you mount it on the roof like recommended, it looks ghetto. -only 40 lbs. i wish it was 200 lbs so nobody can steal it. (ok a con only for me). -not able to save tasks, but there is a macgyver workaround for now. -not able to print on lawn yet as they advertised. i really wanted a phallic image on my yard. -can't change englishman voice into cool robot voice like megatron or optimus prime. well that's about it for the cons. the cons aren't deal-breaking for me though because they're mostly just petty stuff. overall i'm glad i got this. ... show more

I used it for 1 week to mow 1/4 of an acre. It mows for 45 min then needs to recharge for an hour. It literally took 12 hours to mow the yard. I contacted customer support and was told this was normal... So after a week of that the back wheel fell off. Don't buy. ------Update----- The company uses a chat bot for customer service. It asked for pictures of the broken part and then wanted 48 hours to verify that it is broken. -----update------ The third party seller asked me to pay 140 for shipping to return the mower. I explained I didn't want to do that and the seller isn't helping. It's been a negotiation to get it returned? This is the first time I have had this experience. -------update------ Everything about this item is smoke and mirrors. It isn't able to do what mamotion claims it can do. It breaks after a week. They make you pay for return shipping. I should be able to return a defective unit... The idea of this product is awesome but it sadly can not do what they say it can do. ... show more
