Update: I have had this sail up, rain or shine, since October 2022. It has survived through 90-degree days in direct Sun, through incredibly heavy PNW rain, through several snow storms and still looks almost exactly the way it came. No leaks. No rips. No stretching. The color may have slightly faded, but it’s hardly noticeable, especially considering how much reds tend to fade in the sun. The post I have it anchored to has leaned a little, mostly due to the weight that the snow put on it (word of advice: if the forecast says snow, unhook at least one side so the snow can’t collect on top). I’m very, very happy with this product. I highly recommend and I’m going to be buying more in the future. This was exactly what I was looking for to keep the area behind my barn a little dryer and hopefully less muddy this winter. It was easy to put up, I did it myself. I used an 8’ galvanized chain link fence corner post as my third attachment, used 8” turnbuckles on two of the sides, and used paracord to secure it (not the included rope). It is solid and sturdy, rain runs off it nicely and it seems to be waterproof. You can beat this price either! I originally bought 12x12x12 but decided it was a little small for my area and went with the 16.5x16.5x16.5 and it’s perfect! We will see how it holds up over winter but it feels very solid. High quality. Definitely withstands the rain and allows no water through. MUST have the proper angle or it will sag. MUST be very tight or will sag. I wouldn’t buy waterproof again. Very hard to hit the right angle, but the waterproof did its job as described.

I love this product. Good quality, sturdy, affordable and looks great on my patio. Water does pool in the middle a little bit but that could be because of install error. Other than that I couldn’t be happier with it.

I ordered two sets of triangular, and received hardware for triangular, but received Square 10 x 10. We just made the most of it, since the tarp was the last thing we unpacked. I ended up giving one away. Also this is waterproof, and holds water even if very slanted. And the material stretches and droops, even when you remove the water within an hour or so of it gathering. I have to take it down every time it rains. So that it doesn’t get even more stretched. Plus, it’s hard to dump once it gathers a bunch of water, which can happen very quickly, depending on where you live. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Despite the warning on the package that it's not for use in heavy rain, I was too lazy to return it and put it up anyway. Believe it or not, it keeps you dry. I would keep the seam lateral, so that the water drips over it. See video.

Don’t recommend. Although it does provide shade and UV protection, it just has one MAJOR flaw. The pros: it’s UV blocking and the temp under the sail is noticeably cooler than the temp in the shade. It is definitely waterproof. The cons: because it is waterproof it actually hold and collects water. We hung the sail at more than the recommended 20-40 degree angle and tightened it as much as humanly possible. Used the recommended hardware as well. It was super tight, no sagging, etc.. It still collected a pool of water. We ended up having to poke a hole in the bubble on the sail to drain the water. Contacted the seller with the issues and they offered a $10 refund. Would have been happy with a replacement, thought maybe it was a fluke, but no luck there. They simply repeated the hanging instructions and when I explained that we did everything as recommended they just stopped responding to us. I suppose if you hung the sail at various heights or if there were better, clearer instructions it could work properly but for us this is a hard pass. Just find a sail that is UV blocking and not waterproof. ... show more
