  • PLEASE NOTE: This blind is 28.5" wide to allow for mounting the blind inside a 29" wide window. Each blind will be 1/2-INCH NARROWER than the width ordered to fit inside the window frame. Sizes stated within the product descriptions are listed by width then height. See measuring instructions to ensure best fit.
  • MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS: To determine the width measure inside of the window opening from left to right at the top, middle, and bottom. Record the narrowest measurement. For best fit, find the size with a width closest to your measurement. The height of the blind will be the longest measurement from top to bottom. A blind with a height longer than your recorded measurement will work as the blind can be stopped at any position within the window frame.
  • INSIDE & OUTSIDE MOUNT: This blind is suitable for inside and outside mounting of a window frame. Inside mount means completely installing the blind inside the window frame. For depth it is recommended for the window frame to be at least 1-1/2 deep for a flush inside mount. For mounting outside of the window frame, measure your window opening and add three inches.
  • CORDLESS DESIGN: The new child safe design features a cordless operation lift system eliminating the need for cords allowing the blind to be raised and lowered with just a touch.
  • HARDWARE & INSTRUCTIONS: Your blind will include instructions and hardware for both inside or outside mounting.

These fit perfectly in some narrow 17” windows. I discovered that finding decent basic blinds in home improvement stores is a frustrating hassle and the custom ones are super expensive. These look nice and function well with no strings to pull. To make installation easier, look at how the brackets fit onto the blind before you attach the brackets to the wall. You should see the word “up” with an arrow staring back at you from the backside of the bracket after you attach them to the wall. If you have only drywall with no studs, you can get some of the new screw-in anchors that self-tap into the drywall - they work great. I thought the instructions were decent. This is the same one I had before and I swore I wouldn't get another one. But I did. Not sure why except probably b/c it was more affordable than some others. But you get what you pay for. The slats don't close all the way tightly, which is sort of the opposite of what we want in blinds. Having said that, they create a nice clean look on my bedroom window, and move up and down easily. I'm a little OCD when it comes to the way my apartment is lit and with this I get a lot of options on how the light comes through. After a couple of years with sunlight directly on them every day, they will eventually become brittle and will break easily. The slats could be a little thicker. ... show more
