Originally bought these in 2021. At first, yes, they were dimmer than expected as other reviews mention but then, once I accepted them for what they were - ambient light and nice atmosphere - I loved them. They lasted out on the balcony for 2 years then stopped charging. I switched to wire lights that cost about the same and now 2 years later, they've died. After lots of looking and considering, I am buying these again - for the price, the quality, and accepting that 2 years can be the average lifetime of solar string lights in this price range. ... show more

I mounted the solar panels in full unobstructed light and still after a full day charging in open sun they do not light up very bright at all nor do they last very long. I chose to keep them versus return as my main goal with the lights was a vibe and not necessarily functionality. If you're looking for a light source, might be better off with a different product. These bulbs are deceptively shown as larger bulbs. In reality they are very small round bulbs. Nevertheless they will be a great addition to our patio when the weather warms up. They have different light pattern settings and the strings are solar powered.

I purchased this set of lights to string up inside a gazebo that had no access to electricity. The solar panels work well at collecting power, and the lights last for between 3-6 hours, depending on how much sun there was during the day. But don't expect these lights to provide actual lighting for your space. They are more there to offer a lovely accent glow, but no chance you can read by them. Still, they are attractive little lights, and the plastic globes are surprisingly robust -- not a one has cracked or dried out and broken off, and they've been outside and exposed to a wide temperature range for a number of years. ... show more
