I purchased this item in March for a trip to Europe in April. On the first night of our trip, I wanted to use this Power Adapter/Converter to recharge the battery for my phone and it didn't work. I tried different outlets in the room and it wouldn't work. I contacted the hotel registration desk and he said he didn't know why it wouldn't work, so I just assumed that I had purchased a defective product. I was definitely disappointed because I purchased it because of the size and th many things that you could charge at one time. The next morning we were talking to other hotel guests and they said they didn't have any problems in their rooms. I mentioned this to the guy at the front desk and he said he'd check on it. When we returned that evening, it worked. So the problem wasn't the product, it was the hotel's problem. The adapter/converted worked very well for the remainder of our trip to Europe (Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Ireland) which was 5 1/2 weeks long. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is traveling to Europe. This voltage converter was perfect! It allowed us to charge multiple phones, and plug in curling irons etc!! I only had 1 issue, the EU plug was a little large for some of the outlets. If the hotel had done some updating, it was perfect.... but a couple times the only outlet the fit was in a bathroom. Otherwise, it was great! ... show more

This product is not as advertises. It fried my flat iron. My friend's was about to be as well but I pulled the plug on hers once I heard the high pitched sound -that mine also made before dying- coming from it. Be aware when plugging anything in. If you hear a high pitches humming or buzzing, pull the plug immediately so you won't fry your item. ... show more

This is a great device and worked on multiple outlets with multiple devices. It does make noise (sounds like a laptop fan) but I assume that’s what makes it work well. I’ve used with iPad, laptop, small tv, Xbox, and the USB inputs with several devices. This was very easy to use in my recent trip to Italy. Having the plugs and USB was perfect. It allowed us to charge our phones and watches and plug in my husband’s CPAP machine overnight. I left the extra adapters at home, thinking I had the one I needed, but German and Italian plugs look similar but are different.
