The pack comes with a set for the Maker and one for the Explorer. I only have one machine but I know someone who could use the other holder. When purchasing, it would be a nice option to select either or both holders. It is really easy to connect the siders to the crossbar. Then it could be placed on the device. Look at the examples on the instructions to ensure it's on properly. It really is a quick and simple process. I initially put it on incorrectly and figured it didn't work. So if you make sure they are in the slots on your lid, these work decent for an aid for your cutting mat. For me personally, where I have my machine, they do not want to stay in place, and will make a much better aid once I move my machine to a smaller surface. These are a good choice for sitting your cricut on the edge of a surface, when needing more space in the back for full mat cuts, but by doing so, not having any surface in the front of your machine then. Overall, they are great if you aren't messing with the mat while it's cutting, or doing a lot of bumping into it. Basically, if left alone, they will hold without issue. I am happy with them, and they are a good aid. So far ok. I have not used them enough to say I would ever order more at any point, but for the few times I have used them.
