I've been using a different brand of pet breath/dental health water additive for years. I switched to this one a couple of weeks ago after someone told me about it. This seems to be working well ...no funky breath from my dog and her teeth seem as clean as they have been. My dog doesn't seem to notice this has been added to his water at all - breath is significantly better and I don't have to worry about harsh chemicals in this product. I'll be continuing to use it!

I have a large, male golden doodle and I know the breed can have trouble with dental hygiene.     • Not sure if working - cat doesn't seem to detect
I can barely clip my cats nails but she is allowing me here and there - so I thought I would also try the teeth/breath route. I'm starting w/ the additive and then will try and get a lil tooth brush in there. I am not sure if this is working - her breath always smells like cat food - but she doesn't seem to avoid drinking from her water bowl. Easier to use the additive and try to supplement with the tooth brushing so either way, it seems beneficial and I hope it helps prevent any issues down the line ... show more

    • My dog was suspicious but she drank it
I cleaned out my dog's water and added a squirt of this (it says on the label to use 1/8 teaspoon to 2 cups of water but I just eyeballed it) and she came running up, since she loves when her water has been refreshed. She put her nose down to drink, then looked up and gave me the side eye, and poked the water with her nose several times before taking a few licks. Clearly she could tell something was different. She may have drank a bit slower over the rest of the day but did finish the bowl of water with no adverse reaction. I have used products like this before for another dog who had pretty bad breath and who was not very good about tooth brushing. I was never sure if it helped or not. This dog doesn't mind brushing since we started it when she was a pup, but we do get too busy sometimes to be diligent about it, so I figure this additive is an extra layer of insurance. It also seems reasonably priced and should last a good long time with the small amount needed. ... show more

I pet sit for a friend when she has to go out of town for work and I don't feel bad saying that her dog's breath is hideously foul! I don't know how she can stand it but it doesn't seem to bother her. It would be bearable if this dog didn't have to be right beside you or she will whine like she is being abused. It is extremely embarrassing. Not wanting to offend my friend, I chose not to mention the fact that I have been teaching her dog a little bit about the importance of oral hygiene with the help of this delightful product. It actually works. It didn't happen over night but I am there enough that I can easily slip it in her water bowl and after 1 1/2 weeks I took a chance and got just close enough to test the air quality and her breath passed the test. I won't go so far as to say I will be accepting her dog kisses but I am very appreciative of her increasingly fresher dog breath. ... show more
