I've had a few TV's over the years setup on my back patio. It used to be common for them to have analog RCA output jacks that I could feed to a simple analog only multichannel amp to feed a couple of sets of speakers in my yard. Now, it seems TV's only come with optical Toslink outputs and maybe a headphone jack that really isn't suitable. This converter bridges the divide beautifully. Had this installed to send audio through my analog stereo system, worked GREAT. Two days later while watching the TV the sound just stopped. Tried to exchange or return and they dont let you... just a buncha troubleshooting steps that dont help
