My girlfriend and I went on a two month cross country trip and used this set almost every night. The band did break before we even left for the trip, not sure what happened, but my mom fixed it with three staples. That lasted us 2 months on the road. They were in and out of our packs, on the ground, thrown about in the car and lasted with no trouble at all. Very easy to clean, pack up nicely and are also very lightweight. Perfect for backpacking. Enjoyed for the most part. The cups are very small, only 6-8 oz, not very easy to clean out on trail. That being said, they kept my hands warm and was a nice size to share a pouch of hot chocolate. While the container condenses to hold all of the items, I wish I would have gone with GSI stacking set for overall size. The rubber band works if you use all items, but I ditched a plate and it became useless, so I dropped the band all together. Spork was basic and nice. ... show more

This is cool if you are sharing with maybe a kid, but with only 1 bowl/deeper dish it's hard to get adequate portions for 2 adults. I returned and just bought 2 separate full kits.

I got these at a clearance price. I like it but not sure I'd have paid full price. Ikea has a lot of stuff like this for cheap too.

I love this kit, but the band that holds it all broke in storage. Bummer, cuz it doesn't stay together without the elastic strap. Still, I will use it and find another way to tie it up.
