TL/DR: This thing is great, but not without some negatives. The top is great, but the mug is heavy. PROs: -------- - Keeps coffee hot for hours, longer than most other insulated tumblers I've tried. - Sliding magnetic top is GENIUS! Works every time, doesn't catch like the rubber- gasketed ones. It's also REMOVABLE for cleaning! Again, Genius! (but see Con below) - This holds about 20 ounces, if it's fuller than that you can't put the lid on- well, you can, but it overflows. - Easy cleaning: dishwasher safe. You can remove the edge gasket to clean it and the groove where it goes. The slider part also is removable. And if you were to lose the slider, you can get new ones from Yeti. (Actually, you can even get color-matched ones of you want.) CONs: -------- - Heavy!! Don't know what they put in there, but it feels like it's solid steel. Add the weight of the beverage, and it's seriously heavy. Those with wrist/arm problems should avoid. - Slider top: I haven't found a way to open it with one hand, i.e. while holding the mug. Not a huge deal, but I have to slide it open, then pick it up and drink, then put it down, then close it. Other tumblers I've used let you open the top with a finger while holding the mug. This Yeti cup with a handle is my new favorite! I have a better grip on it now, which makes it so much easier to carry around, especially when it’s full. The handle is sturdy and feels comfortable in my hand. Just a heads-up: because of the handle, it doesn’t fit in every car cup holder, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to take it on the road. Other than that, it keeps my drinks cold (or hot!) for hours, just like you’d expect from Yeti. Perfect for anyone who wants extra grip with their cup! ... show more

Initial thoughts: Besides from the mug being perfect, it retains heat so well. I purchased this in preparation for the arrival of my mushroom coffee.     • Best Mug I've Ever Bought!

Dislike: I wish there was a standard for listing how many fluid ounses held. This is 24oz only if filled right to the brim which you then can't put the lid on. It really holds 4 oz less. More of an irritation than important factor in purchase. Likes: It is heavy -filled with water and lid on is 3 lbs, (empty with lid 1lb 4oz.) For me weight can bother arthritis in hands but this mug the handle is great and makes lifting the filled mug easy. The weight of it also helps keep it stable, not easily tipped over. I wanted flat bottom and the weight helps so it wouldn't get knocked over easily like the "travel" mugs that have tapered bottoms. It keeps my iced drinks constantly cold, well insulated. I do love this mug! The magnetic sliding opening on the lid is a big bonus, surprised me how easily it slides open/closed. It also comes apart to clean unlike all the other style/brands that are hard to take apart. Cleaning insturctions online video was a plus as I never knew how to get the rubber seal off to clean. This yeti is my go to day to day yeti. Has some slight leakage but has good yeti quality/durability and bought on sale so amazing value. Kept temperatures extremely well as per usual with yeti products but the topper makes it easy to cool off hot products by opening the lid.

    • Great Product. But Seal Can Be Hard to Clean

I bought this as a gift for my niece who lives on the east coast. I never heard any complaints from her and know she uses it. As an owner of four Yeti mugs including a similar Rambler, I find them to keep coffee warm for a substantial period. Sometimes I put my coffee down half-finished, and pick it up hours later to find it is still warm. The newer Yeti mugs can be put in the dishwasher. My early Yeti mugs, one tall and one short, neither with handles, require hand cleaning, which is easy, except as noted below. It is the same problem I have with my other Yeti mugs. I drink my coffee with some 2% milk, or occasionally on a holiday with half & half. It doesn't take long for the rubber seal to gum up with what seems like milk solids. I then have to remove the seal from the top and clean it, and the groove it sits in, with a toothbrush. Washing the top and seal, separated, in the dishwasher doesn't work for me. Whatever the gunk is, it is hard to remove without a brush of some kind, especially from the grooves of the seal. Nothing seems to dissolve it. Still it's not an overly serious problem as it takes a while, with normal washing, for the gunk to build up to where it needs cleaning. ... show more

I do like the fact that it kept my coffee hot for 3 hours. Unfortunately, it's not a travel mug and I was slightly disappointed It did not fit in my cup holder. That is no fault of the company's.
