    • This broke 9 months after install. E4 error code.
I loved this machine! Until it broke 9 months after installation and flashed E4 error code just after warranty expired (took 3 months to get installed after purchase). Don't waste your money. You would think that spending $700 on an appliance then paying contractors to have it custom installed would give you some level of expectation of customer support. Don't be fooled. Lifeplus doesn't care. Here's their terse response; Dear Steve, Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.     • Countertop seltzer is awesome
Took a chance on this product, and I'm pretty pleased. It works as advertised. Minus one star because the built-in refrigerator is a little noisy if your kitchen is open to the rest of the living space.

    • Fantastic product! Takes work to get it going.
Really love this product! Finally have continuous sparkling water at home! It took a fair bit of work to get it set up though, as you have to buy a proper regulator, CO2 cylinder, and connections to get it plumbed in.

    • Can't get it to produce seltzer water
After trying many different things and spending a lot more money on ancillary parts, I have not been able to get the machine to work. I hope I didn't throw away $650. I've searched for a way to get support to troubleshoot, but have not found any way to contact the company.

We have purchased (2) of these units in succession after the first failure and they each have failed shortly after the warranty period of 1 year with the famous E4 Error that is now well described by many others on product feedback experiences. The manufacture support does have an email which is hard to find but there is one and after several days waiting for a reply came the same answers as others below, “ Thank you for your appreciation of our product. However, we regret to inform you that it only carries a one-year warranty period”. I asked if the carbonation pump or pressure switch was available for replacement even at a cost got the same answer. Therefore; the product is a lemon with a short operation useful life that cannot be serviced in anyway. Turn the unit off and reset it and it might work for a few hours until it shuts down again with the E4 error. Purge all the water from the sparkling tank and start over and same results, works a few hours then shuts down. Increasing/decreasing water or Co2 pressure does not make a difference, there is a problem with the carbonator pump and pressure switch that is not reliable. It is really sad because when the unit works it works great for sparkling water with the exception of the button design flaw which is if the button is touched the water dispenses continuously until the buttons are touched again to turn off. The button should be a press and hold to dispense and stop dispense when release. Otherwise the button is touched and it will not stop dispensing so be careful is child touches the button and walks away, you will have a flooded mess. Otherwise when it works it is a nice machine and it is ashamed with so many other Amazon customer experiences of the same E4 error that the manufacture has not made any improvements or better replacement resolutions to Amazon customers.     • Wonderful for home use
I've owned my LIfePlus sparkling water maker for over 30 days and use it maybe 6 times a day during the week and a dozen times a day on the weekend and wanted to write an in depth review since there is so little information available out there. Even the manufacturer isn't putting out sufficient information. I'm breaking it down into three parts: Review of the Product, Review of Installation, and Review of Maintenance and Upkeep The product itself: My LifePlus has run with only one issue since installation. One day of heavy use it had cooling issues and shut down my CO2 button so I could only use the cold water or room water buttons on the device. The display was showing an error code E4 which due to the lack of support, I never figured out what that meant. But basically, the symptoms were as described above. The cooler stopped working and the CO2 button was disabled till I power cycled the device the next day and it started working and no issues since. There is a definite lack of information and support regarding this product. Secondly, they don't make it easy for you to decide what type of CO2 system to use. They don't tell you that it's designed for use with SodaStream CO2 bottles, but you'll be wasting a lot of money if you use those CO2 bottles. Regardless, once installed it has been the easier and a much cheaper option than SodaStream as long as you don’t use those small CO2 bottles. I do have to leave the drip tray detached so I can easily refill my 32oz tumblers. That is one complaint that I do have. Now the LED displays the water temp in Celsius and I love how it’s usually at 2 degrees when I go to fill my tumbler. Overall, I’ve rated the product 4 out of 5 stars for now and I’m happy with my purchase. Installation: The installation as far as the water line was the easiest thing ever. I used the Pex tubing that it came with and bought an additional pex adapter line with fittings because I did a fancy install. The easiest line in your house to tap is the ice maker line behind your fridge and that’s what I used. I simply tapped that line then ran it into a three-cartridge filter system that I also got off Amazon, the Waterdrop TSA 3-Stage Under Sink Water Filter, and I mounted that on the wall behind the fridge as it is easily accessible and out of sight there. I then ran that line directly into the LifePlus. Be sure to install cut offs before and after the filter system for easy disconnects and maintenance. Now the CO2 line was the challenge. Since this is designed to be used with SodaStream CO2 bottles and you don’t like burning your money and changing those bottles weekly, you’ll need to buy a regulator, an adapter to go from a little 60L SodaStream tank to a decent 5lb – 20lb tank , and a CO2 tank from your local beer keg distributor. Find a CO2 distributor that does tank exchanges, full for empty. Refilling is not worth it unless you go to a professional air & gas distributor. Now, the instructions don’t say what PSI to run this at, but they do say do NOT run it at over 70 PSI on the CO2 line. Keep that in mind when buying your regulator. A lot of beer line regulators have a 40 - 50PSI safety valve on them so they can’t go that high. I run my regulator at 40 PSI and find the carbonation on the heavy side but love it. Now the CO2 Pex line is thicker and if you get a Pex tube expander tool and a bowl of hot water, it does help you properly fit that line onto your barb fitting on the regulator. Maintenance and Upkeep: After 30+ days of ownership, not much to report here. Except for the one E4 error that was fixed with a power cycling, no issues. My CO2 regulator also displays the tank capacity and I love how after a month of heavy usage, the needle hasn’t dropped at all on my little 5lb tank. I’ll update this area as my ownership hits 6+ months and a year. ... show more
