    • Strong pump but leaks in external applications
Pump didn't arrive on time, didn't even ship out until it was already supposed to be delivered, but was delivered next day. Well the pump looked great coming out of the box, was sceptical of how well it would do being mounted external of my pond, was a little difficult to get primed but with the help of the water hose got it going. Initially was wowed, pump puts out some power, to much for my application but have ball valves in place to slow down the flow, but the front portion that's rotate able leaked, so after installed had to remove and disassemble and seal it up with silicone in order to get it to seal. Over all it does well and works but o ring doesn't seal, so have to seal it together with silicone, over all happy now I've got all the kinks worked out. ... show more

    • Fairly quiet and ready to go.
Doesn't seem like it pushes a full 5000 gph but it does push more than my old 4000 gph pump that broke. I have a 4000 gallon pond and push the water up to the top of a 4 foot waterfall and the flow is sufficient.

I installed mine outside the pond in a dry configuration and had some leaking around the front housing where the O ring fits. I contacted Lifegard via email to request an O ring. They shipped the O ring and a new front housing at no charge. This fit great and fixed the problem. I understand a water tight seal under pressure can have tight tolerances that sometimes slip past quality control and I am very satisfied that Lifegard quickly resolved the problem. ... show more

It seems like flow rate of this pump is nowhere near what it is rated on paper. My install has a 6 foot lift and my interpretation of the chart in the instructions seems like it should have a flow rate of about 700 gph...I am only getting about 200 gph, which is less than the smaller, lower power pump it replaced. I guess I'll move back to my old pump as there is no sense in paying for more electricity to move less water. Other than that, it seems durable and runs virtually silent. ... show more

Great pump. Bought for a waterfall I made going into my title girls pool. Pumps water 6’ foot high and has plenty of pressure putting out more then enough water to cover 5seperate falls coming down it. Hope it lasts a long time. Thanks again Edit: pump leaks a lot around internal seal and pours out bottom of pump body. No way is this going to be ok for external/dry set up. Contacting the Co now to see options ... show more

I purchased this pump spring of 2019 and have only shut it off to clean the pond. This includes running over the winter in freezing temps and snow along with being clogged with all those pond things we know and hate. Hope they don't change what they are producing.
