This is very helpful for small areas. It heats very quick and keeps you warm. We use it for a trip to Alaska as an extra in our room and it did work for us. The heather is small, so it would work for small areas. It is very efficient

I bought this space heater to replace an older space heater I was using in my camper van. I was afraid to leave my old heater running in my camper when I wasn't there or asleep because it didn't have an auto-shut off if tipped over. This space heater does, and I tested it and it did exactly as it says, heat immediately turned off, and the fan ran for 30 seconds to cool it off and then shut off. To restart it all you need to do is flip it back up and turn it on. This heater is rated the same BTU as my old one, but heated up my camper much faster. I also liked that the fan continues to run even after the thermostat kicks off the heat. My old one would often wake me up when the fan went off or on, but the noise from this one stays consistent, and acts like white noise making it even easier to sleep with it on. Many of the other reviews talk about adjusting the thermostat. I think those are for a different model as mine doesn't have any way to adjust the heat other than switching from hi and low heat. ... show more

Direct out of the box, no heat. The display says H1. I can change it to H2, but either way it immediately starts counting down from 30 and then turns off. Counting down from 30 is supposed to be the cool down feature but this hasn't even started heating up once despite multiple attempts. The troubleshooting directions are not helpful at all. Very warm, easy to move as long as you're near an outlet, small and relatively quiet. Great value for the money. My only disappointment was one photo said 70° oscillation, which is misleading.
