  • As described - Solid product
Style: 1 Bike Hook With Tray
Pro: Wall mount is sturdy and pretty looking (as compared to many ugly solutions out there) Con: The bottom tire tray is a little flimsy and cracked a bit when I screwed it in. (It had place to make holes or an option to "peel-and-stick". I didn't wanna peel and stick, I wanted a one time solution.

  • Gets em off the ground
Style: 1 Bike Hook With Tray
Easy to install and simple. Just what I needed. Use a magnet to find the stud and it’s just 2 screws. I should have hung the lower one a little higher. Get a friend to help gauge the height. I have no friends.

  • Adhesive ripped off the paint and drywall paper
Style: 1 Bike Hook With Tray
DO NOT use the included adhesive for the lower plastic guard if you are attaching it to drywall. It will the paint and drywall paper layer off the wall upon removal. Still giving 5 stars because if I had known this ahead of time and used screws instead of adhesive, there would have been no issue, and otherwise the product works great. ... show more

  • Excellent product, would purchase again.
Style: 1 Bike Hook With Tray
Installed these last week. So far I'm impressed with them. They are solidly built and took me 5 min total to find and mark the studs and drill two of these to the wall with the included self tapping screws. I staggered their heights so that there was still storage room on the floor under my bike while my wife would barely have to lift her bike off of the floor to store hers. The best part is that both of these cost me a total of $22. ... show more

  • Great Piece of Work
Style: 1 Bike Hook With Tray
This hook (or rack) and accompanying tray are fantastic, instantly transforming my space after installing and hanging up my road bike. A few pointers: 1) You do not necessarily need a stud to install the rack. You can hang it on drywall with the right hardware. I used the Toggler brand "Snaptoggle" toggle bolts, able to support about 300lbs in 1/2 in. drywall. These toggle bolts required a half-inch hole to install. This made it tricky to determine the exact distance between the two screws. I ended up drilling three holes before I got it right. 2) The mounting instructions on the packaging say (2b) "mark the spot where the front tire touches the wall," and (2c) "measure 12" above that spot to mark the top screw hole of rack." I found the 12" to be off. 6" is more like it. Having to drill an extra hole below the second turned out to be a blessing, because the top hole was way too high, following the 12" direction. 3) Note that the tip of the hook is roughly 4" above the top screw. I have a 700x23c wheel, and the top of the wheel is 5" above the hook when the bike is hung. Thus, my bike ends up about 9" above the top screw. 4) It's extremely helpful to hold the bike up against the wall, as the manufacturer suggests, and take appropriate measurements before drilling any holes. I did this all by myself, but if you can get an extra hand, that may save you a lot of time and effort. 5) Something I consider to be a design flaw on this otherwise beautiful and functional rack: the screws are not flush with the rack. In my setup, the lower screw juts into the wheel right close to where it rests on the rack. Not sure if my tire will lose pressure faster because of this (probably not), but I wish the screws were flush with the entire rack surface. I would post a picture if I had a camera, but I have to say for 15 bucks, this is an excellent apartment solution for my road bike (one-bedroom in my case), and it holds it in a spot that seems to have been made just for this. ... show more

  • Good mount, just be aware of the limitations
Style: 1 Bike Hook With Tray
I bought 4 of these to hang an assortment of bikes on the wall of my bike room. They make the room look very cool, with the bikes along one wall and my rack and tool chest on the other side - like a mini bike shop, which it pretty much is. Installation I initially used 60lb drywall mounting hardware for these, however the first bike (an 18lb road bike) pulled the hoot out of the wall. Instead, I put 3/4" finish-grade plywood on the wall over the drywall to save the hassle of mounting on drywall. I placed the hooks 30" apart to make sure I had room for wide handlebars and space to "lean" each bike to pull it out of the hook. I can't give this product 5 stars, both for product and installation reasons. I'd still recommend them, but go in with eyes wide open to the limitations and what's needed to use them effectively. Product Problems: 1) The screws are not counter-sunk into the mount. This makes it hard to get bikes with thinner tires to hang with the wheel straight. 2) The back wheel plate doesn't include screws, only adhesive tape, and has no adjustment capability. There may be no weight on the plate, but not all bikes are equal length. It'd be nice if it were either slotted or otherwise adjustable. Non-Product Problems (Or Buyer Beware) 1) This won't fit most mountain bike tire/wheel setups. If you have a ~2.0 tire or wider, it won't clear the hook. My WTB Wolverines won't clear. 2) Aero road wheels over about 45mm won't fit without putting the bike at a significant angle to the hook. If you're putting multiple hooks in a row, make sure you have room or put the aero wheel bike at the right-hand end. 3) IMPORTANT. The weight of the bike is levered against the hook. If you're mounting to drywall, be absolutely certain to use high-capacity mounting hardware - at least 100lbs, preferably 200lbs. An 18lb road bike will pull a 60lb drywall mount out of the wall. ... show more
