I had this item in my cart for a long time - a couple of years - before I finally bought it. I was really nervous about buying such a huge piece of furniture online because returning it would be a nightmare. I need not have worried. It's a beautiful, carefully designed, sturdy piece of furniture. Key points: Packing: Excellent. You can tell that someone put real thought into the packing - it was very well designed. Inside the box the corners were reinforced. There were lots of cardboard and styrofoam sections strategically placed so that the pieces of the stand don't move around inside the box, the pieces were individually wrapped in a soft cushioned foam wrap to avoid scratches, and the glass was well-protected. I was impressed that something so large arrived in perfect condition. Even the stickers are well-designed - they peel off easily and leave no residue. You do have a lot of cardboard and foam to dispose of afterwards. Assembly: Very easy for such a large item. It took my husband just over 30 minutes and he was being careful. The main body just unfolds and the big pieces just slide into place. Then you just bolt on the top, insert the shelf supports, and screw on the door handles. All hardware was provided. But it's heavy: unless you are quite strong, you should get a second person to lift the main section out of the box. And I recommend two people to move the completed stand into place. Fit & Finish/Quality: The only two very minor flaws in ours are (1) The back of the cabinet was slightly concave. I had to apply pressure to one end of the back to get the holes to line up while my husband bolted on the top. After that, it was fine. (2) The left and right cabinet doors are stiff; they work, but I do hope they loosen with use. As noted, this piece has NO particle board. It's solid and heavy. Even the back is a thin piece of wood (maybe plywood - it's hard to tell under the dark finish). But it's definitely not the usual cardboard that manufacturers stick on the backs of TV stands. Handles are metal, and finished nicely. The wood finish has depth and a nice luster. I have seen pieces in furniture stores that cost twice as much and didn't look as nice. Glass Doors and Remote Control Use: Yes, remotes work fine through the glass! Color: Mine is near the darker end of the pictures on the reviews. In dim light it looks very dark brown. But in sunlight or other bright lighting the lovely red tones come out. So I am very happy (and very relieved) that this has worked out so well. Title says it all. You get what you pay for here at the top of the middle tier. Assembles easily in about 7 steps. Sturdy, as it can be leaned on and does not wobble. It looks good. It fits a 65" TV perfectly. Be warned it is easy to scratch the finish, don't let children play on this thing. 4.75/5 stars rounded up to 5/5. P.S. The product is heavy. If you plan on getting this thing up some stairs get some help. ... show more

Wow, was I surprised. This unit is very high quality, easy to put together, and looks great when you're done. Materials and hardware are very high quality. This was also my first experience with Amazon special delivery for heavy/large merchandise. They called and we set up a convenient delivery time and they brought it right into the room where it was going to set up. this tv stand fit all of my preferences and crucially, the height of where my tv was wall mounted + a little space left over for the sound bar. finish is nice, easy to assemble, handles are really nice looking, looks good overall and is solid. only MINOR complaint is the doors on either end are not perfectly centered in the frame, you can tell the gaps are a little wonky - doesnt affect if they can open or not though. havnt tried yet to loosen the door hinges and center them myself, so i cant say if its possible. ... show more

Beautiful, well build and carefully packaged wall tv stand. Fold out perimeter design made for fairly easy final assembly with sturdy, well designed sections. It was a bit heavy (about 140lbs shipped) for one UPS driver and then just me to get in the home. Best if you have a dolly to help move it around but well made from wherever it was made! I've bought other Leick products and have liked them, so thought I'd try this big TV cabinet. It's very heavy. We were lucky to have our UPS person bring it to our apartment door rather than leave it in the lobby. The color on the website is accurate. We had no damage or dings on the wood (it is actually a combo. of wood and ”wood products"). In the box were many parts and very good directions. It was actually quite easy to assemble since the frame ingeniously unfolds and then other pieces slide into place. The top surface is then screwed down. Our remotes for cable, Roku and DVD player work fine through the amber glass. I've had to use a wood touch up marker a few times because the finish is easily damaged with the my husband's enthusiastic vacuuming. For the money, it looks classy. We've had it for 6 months- no problems so far. If we ever have to move it though, I may take it apart because of the fragile nature of the "unfold and slide in" build. ... show more
