  • LD inks for HP Photosmart = economy and quality at a fraction of original replacement cost...
I recently had a need to pull out my old HP Photosmart 8250 which produces very nice photo prints but was reluctant to use again due to the high cost and high consumption of its inks, HP02. I have successfully been using LD toner cartrdiges for many years now in my Laser-jet P2015 at a 1/3 of the cost of factory toner so I thought I'd try LD inks. After a number of months, I can now report that I am very pleased if not surprised with the performance of LDs inks in my Photosmart 8250. Ordered and received a full set and replaced 3 colors right away and a short time later the other 3. The printer recognized the inks as factory authentic with zero issues, no leaks or smears. Also having running them in the printer for sometime now, I discovered based on past ink mileage, they seem to have more ink than the factory replacements. In the past after running some 20 or 30 prints I'd see a marked drop in ink level. With the LD cartridges I see a small drop in level. I'm now convinced that the factory inks were never filled to capacity as they could have been. My conclusion is that you will get a quality albeit used refilled cartridge (yes you may get a rare leaker but that's life in the refilled market, haven't had to deal with this yet like some folks report) and I am near certain you will get twice if not more ink mileage out of them than the factory cartridges. I use I wide range of paper as well as HP photo paper and have not observed any difference in quality. OK by me, will definitely reorder again probably get a couple sets... ... show more

  • Great replacement for overpriced HP OEM cartridges.
I starting using LD a couple years back. I haven't had any issues with the cartridges over the years save one that said it was expired (which has to do with HP and not LD) but my printer lets me ignore expiration notices and carry on. I can get a full set of six LD cartridges for the price of ONE HP OEM cartridge and the print quality is perfectly acceptable if not an exact match to HP. Printing quick photos on plain paper never looks good (even with OEM ink) and the LD cartridges look a little muddier than HP OEM. When printing photos on actual high-quality photo paper the differences are acceptable and barely noticeable. If I need a perfect print I go elsewhere and even with the HP OEM ink I never used my home printer if I needed perfection. Documents, text, and color graphics are fine with no discernable differences if using a better quality bright white paper. The same can be said about OEM HP inks. Better ink jet papers keep the ink from spreading. If you use a cheap paper then expect cheap looking printing whether you use OEM or LD inks. Overall, I would recommend LD cartridges. I got some friends using them and they love them too. Why spend $100 on six HP OEM cartridges when a full set of six LDs can get me 98% there, printing wise, for $20? As long as LD continues to keep up the quality and consistency then I will continue to use their products. ... show more

  • RUINS PRINTERS & CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSES TO RESOLVE
STAY AWAY FROM THESE CARTRIDGES. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR PRINTER BEYOND REPAIR. Using these cartridges caused a failure of the "ink system" in my older HP inkjet printer. Every method of resetting the printer did not clear the error. Cannot print, copy or receive faxes. This company is also employing bait and switch techniques; this set of cartridges were all supposed to be "LD" branded. 2 of 6 were a different brand. When I brought the off-brand to LD's attention they indicated it was the "same high quality compatible cartridge". I wouldn't know as replacing the entire set resulted in ruining my printer. After weeks of swapping emails through Amazon, they asked me to fill out a form providing an excessive amount of detailed information. I provided what they asked for and more - including the cost of replacing with a similar printer with "like" features. They asked me to contact a technician to "PROVE" the "extent" of the problem. I contacted HP tech support who confirmed that the printer was ruined by these garbage cartridges. I also contacted BEST BUY to see if they would diagnose as well, but BEST BUY indicated that they do not work on older HP printers. After several weeks and numerous emails in which they promised resolution, they offered me a cash settlement that was 10% of a replacement printer's cost. When I spoke to a 'manager' that 10% of replacement cost is not the resolution that had been promised me for weeks, I was told that I needed to bring my printer to a service tech for additional diagnosis. The manager also told me that that was the printer's value. I it was in mint condition and its value was that of and equivalent functional printer. They could not explain how they derived the 10% value. I again shared with them my previously, formally submitted information they requested. I shared that I contacted both HP and BEST BUY. I then suggested that if they needed further verification that the printer is damaged, that they find a service center that would satisfy this additional request; and told them that they would need to pay for the $50-$75 cost to diagnose. They refused. It is unclear what additional info they would need as I previously sent them a picture of the error code the printer now displays. They told me they sent a check for the 10% value they put on my used printer a week ago. That check has not been received. Not an ethical company. If a gas station sold you bad gas that ruined your engine, you would expect compensation for the cost of repairs ... LD ink is like bad gas. BEWARE! *** UPDATE *** AFTER POSTING THIS REVIEW, I WENT BACK AND READ SOME OF THE ONE STAR REVIEWS AND FOUND OTHER AMAZON CUSTOMERS HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE WHERE THEIR PRINTER WAS RUINED BEYOND REPAIR AFTER USING THESE CARTRIDGES. *** SECOND UPDATE *** THE 10% CHECK THEY TOLD ME WAS 'IN THE MAIL' TWO WEEKS AGO HAS YET TO SHOW UP. NOT ONLY ARE THEY NOT ETHICAL, THEY LIE TO YOUR FACE. ... show more

  • These have worked great for me!
I have only used some of them, as I wasn't totally out of all colors when I made the purchase, but thus far they are working great! No problems with installing them and their being recognized on my HP C6280 printer. For the general printing purposes I have, these are exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely buy them again. Update: 10+ months later and still no complaints. I do a significant amount of printing and haven't yet run out of ink. I've used all but one of the cartridges (still haven't needed that last one). No leaking and my printer recognizes them as valid. ... show more

  • Works well for cartridges that seemed to be discontinued by the manufacturer
These cartridges all seem to work very well in one of my really old printers. There have been no issues using them as replacements for the OEM cartridges, which we can't get any more. They are also much cheaper that what we used to pay for OEM and I can't tell any difference in print quality at all.

  • Great value and performance!
This is my second or third purchase of LD ink for an older HP printer. Ink performs flawlessly and the price is a great value. I will continue to purchase for this printer and others.
