This hammock stinks. I bought it to replace my 4 year old hammock that the ropes had finally frayed and were breaking. I have a hammock stand I bought from y’all and this is the replacement hammock listed by you in the questions section of that product. Even strung on the tightest setting (which makes it look really high up off the ground until you get in) when my 135 pound person lays in the hammock I drag the ground as I get in because the ropes are not tight at all. When I finally drag my butt and the hammock across the ground to ungracefully get to the middle I am still only a few inches off the ground at most. This hammock sucks because I feel like I am laying in a “V” shape. Edited: Leaving the hammock out in the weather helped it to lose some of its “stretch” after a couple of weeks, but after less than a year, the ropes have snapped on my hammock making it unable to be used any longer. ... show more

It was as described, BUT, when put on my frame, I sat in the hammock and I went all the way to the ground. I weigh 122 lbs. I removed the chains, and attached the hook on the hammock directly to the frame, and still went straight to the ground. Rope is a very loose and had way too much give to it. Having to return it. The hammock is the exact size as the one I took off, but the rope quality is so poor that it does NOT hold a person off the ground. ... show more

When I received my hammock it was packaged in a nice, drawstring type bag inside the box. Upon opening it I realized that there were NO chains or hooks to hang it as described. After contacting the seller they offered a small refund & asked that I just go buy the hooks & chains. So, after having to make a trip to get the equipment (that should have been included) to hang this hammock it's up. You will have to hang it high because it'll stretch but overall it's very nice & comfortable. I'd recommend it for sure, just make sure you check the box & don't be upset if you have to buy your own hardware to hang it. ... show more

Fits a 15 ft hammock stand well, like every other cotton rope hammock I've had over the years it will stretch. The first time I got in my backside ended up on the ground...stretch it as taut as you can, get back in, repeat. At first it seemed like it would be too short, I'm 6'2" and It's plenty long. I am so disappointed in this purchase. As soon as I sat in the hammock, it stretched out so much that's its practically not usable. I was almost on the ground! We had to put our old hammock UNDERNEATH this one to hold it up!

Needed to replace a hammock that lasted an amazing 16 years. I have a metal hammock stand that sits in the backyard, on the grass and under a huge old pine tree. The old cotton hammock finally started to fall apart after the winter rains this year. This hammock is almost identical to the old one - I think I purchased it at Target. The price on this one is hard to believe - very inexpensive. It appears to be very well made - I really like it. It comes with all the chains/hooks that you will need to hang one on a stand. After spraying the stand with a new coat of paint, I put the hammock on the stand and it looks spectacular. I promptly laid down on it and fell asleep. This was a terrific purchase. ... show more

I'm not sure who gave this item 5 stars but it by far the worst thing I have purchased from Amazon. I assume because I was paying a little bit more the quality would be better .
