This is my first time buying or using gel polish, so I don't have anything to compare it to. That being said, I am happy with my decision (making them does not come easy to me, especially concerning what i spend my money on). I was specifically looking for something that came with a fair amount of options for a price i could afford. Most similar sets either are good price with not enough variety, or all the variety at over double the price. There are so many different combinations of options it's overwhelming, but this one pretty much had it all.. Even a matte top coat. Some of the colors on the bottle look different from the colors in them, but they do seem to be a better match once the polish is on and dry. A lot of them are light colors but the polishes are very easy to mix and make your own shades and colors if you feel like you're missing something (including nude shades). They also mixed well with the hard gel i bought to overlay my natural nails with. Very easy to work with and cures well. Black and white take slightly longer but that seems to be the case for those colors in any brand. I didn't experience any heat spikes so far with anything but the matte top coat, but it's very mild (and fun to watch it cure lol). The colors are very opaque as well, so even with very thin coats you only need two. The two nail pictures i posted are the two times I've used these so far, i kept the black and white set for two weeks and they never chipped at all. By the time i changed them to the purple set they still looked freshly done. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. I’m fairly new to DIY gel manicures so I opted for this very affordable basic set. It’s a fun selection of autumnal colors. They were surprisingly pigmented. The formulation is great in terms of opacity, self leveling, and viscosity. I could work on multiple nails at the same time without worrying about the polish running on my cuticles. It was also a lot of fun playing with the cat eye magnet, though I wish it came in a wand form for better grip. I’m looking forward to experimenting more with magnetic polish and the blooming gel. I appreciate how complete this set is, including a dotting tool / nail art brush. All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase. I would recommend this to beginners. ... show more

This a good kit to get started with gel polish. Just be sure to give it a few tries since it may take a bit of work to get it right. With a bit of effort, even if you're not the best at polishing your nails you can get a nice mani with this kit. I'm not the best at painting my nails to begin with but after some clean up work, I can usually manage a passable manicure. I wanted to try gel to get something more long-lasting. The first time I used this, I prepped my nail with regular nail polish remover (which has some oils to keep from drying out your nail) instead of acetone and I applied too much of the top coat and flooded my cuticles. The resulting manicure was too thick and started to lift after a few days. The second time I tried a manicure, I over corrected and applied everything a bit too thin. I ended up with a slightly streaky manicure that once again lifted in a few days. The third application was the charm! I was able to get a more even manicure that lasted for about two weeks (I had a tiny chip after about 10 days but I was opening a can of soda). I have since experimented with glitter and I am consistently getting 10-14 days wear. Removal is still tough for me though. I try to wait until the gel is starting to lift before I attempt to remove them but I still have to soak them for a long time. I recently tried the Pulchrie Magic Nail Polish Remover with moderate success. It still took a few applications and a lot of picking to get the polish off. Tips for novices: -Buff your nail lightly before applying -Use acetone (not nail polish remover) to prep your nail before applying the base coat -Have a brush or an orange stick ready for clean up. Clean up all product that has pooled around your nails or is on your skin *before* you cure under a lamp. -2 or 3 thin coats is better than a 1 or two thick coats -If you end up with an uneven application or get a hair in your top coat, you can lightly file the cured top coat to even things out an then apply a *thin* top coat to restore shine. ... show more

I received this product less than a week ago and I’ve used it on my toes, my three years old’s fingernails, and I’ve done my fingernails twice (not because the first polish came off but because I was excited I could switch up my colors!) The colors are beautiful and vibrant and while a bit on the thicker side (especially the glitter polish) I haven’t found that to be an issue with application. I don’t have time to regularly run to the nail salon and especially under quarantine it’s been of course impossible, so I picked up a $40 UV lamp off of Amazon and this set of gel polish. I love that it came with the base and top coats and lots of colors to choose from, the value is amazing! I will definitely be purchasing more of these sets in the future! My daughter’s polish came off easily but I only did one coat of color (plus the base and top coats) and it’s harder to cap the top of baby nails (and I think she kept picking at them). I didn’t do great the first time of capping the top of my nails so it had some minor chipping that was only visible if you looked closely after five days of wear, but I think they would have lasted longer if I didn’t choose to switch it up. I was able to peel them off when I wanted to change the color so I can’t attest to how easy they are to soak off, and they didn’t peel easily but enough they didn’t damage my nails more than gel polish would. The polish on my toes are holding up very well still, with no signs of chipping. It takes a bit longer doing them yourself, but it’s far more cost and time effective long term than going to the salon. I feel more put together having my nails done and this has become a great solution to pampering myself despite being a busy working mom. Would definitely recommend! ... show more
