I own several Lasko fans and heaters. Dependable brand and great product. I have vaulted ceilings throughout my home including my kitchen. During the Winter I avoid the kitchen like the plague because it's so cold. As one does have to cook and feed the family, I decided to get a couple of these to warm the room. This little heater is a gem. It's small, aesthetically nonintrusive, & heats quickly. It's lightweight and can be moved around easily. Very quiet. The top has a nice feature. It's a large round circle that you press with your palm, and it starts up. There are three settings: one hour, high and low. I keep two of these going while I cook. Between these and the oven my kitchen is much warmer. There is a paper tag attached to the cord which does not remove easily. Usually, these tags can be cut or peeled off, but this one is stuck (literally) like glue. Pretty unsightly. I simply wrapped it tightly around the cord and taped it. Not ideal nor the most attractive, but better than having a loose tag. A tag that can be removed is recommended to the manufacturer. Other than very pleased, good product. ... show more

It works better than expected! It gets hot quickly, fills the room (mainly used in the bathroom after showers). Simple to operate (High, Low., and 1 HR). I use the 1 hour setting, it shuts off automatically after 1 hr. I mean, it even warms up larger spaces (i.e 250 sq feet bedroom). Impressed!

We have 4 Lasko products in our home, and have found them to be very reliable, so although there are cheaper heaters out there, I was confidant in this purchase. It's very nice to quick-warm a bathroom in the morning when the house thermostat has been low all night. It's quiet, heats up quickly, and has a thoughtful 1-hour on high timer. The cat, in particular, loves it - nuzzling it hopefully when it's off. Pros: It's a solidly built good unit that does its job. Meets expectations and is an attractive ivory cube that takes up little space. Cons: (3 grumpy items - no deal breakers) (1) Unless you have the hands of Rachmaninov (or...Shaq, for you sports fans), you'll have trouble picking this up with less than 2 hands. A cube this weighty and smooth should absolutely have either an inset handle or a bucket-like (possibly silicone) handle to maneuver it quickly. (2) The large round top button/switch is really nice! It makes a substantial click when you toggle between high-1 hour, high, and low. There's also a small inoffensive orange light that is always on when the heater is plugged in, and shows which power you're on. So you have a tactile and visual representation that you are turning the heater on - why would it need a *ridiculously* loud beep whenever you push it. Beep! Beep! Beep! The heater is on low! - now why are the dogs barking? (3) While a lawful warning sticker is normal for something easily misused....in this case, the Do Not Remove!!! sticker is fixed on the cord near the plug, and is Huge. More warnings than an aspirin bottle, English and Spanish. It might be.... 5x7" and made of stiff, wrinkled, rattley and curiously waterproof paper. Now, you might think I bet they removed it, but no! wrapping it around the cord and securing it with a piece of medical wrap at least streamlined it a bit. Experience teaches that if you remove those things, you're left with a sticky cord anyway. TL;DR It's nice. If you need one, watch for a sale, buy it. You'll never be sorry you have a little heater on hand - just don't ignore the warnings! ... show more

This small heater really puts out the heat. I use it in the bathroom I take showers in in my son and daughter-in-laws home as my son keeps things cooler than this elderly mom can tolerate at my age. I bought this heater for my bathroom as it gets very cold in there. I have a fairly large bathroom so I was concerned that this would not get hot enough..but after 10 minutes or so, my bathroom was nice and warm. This heater is easy to use, the floor does not get hot from it and it's a brand name that I trust. I have used other Lasko products and this is just as good and reliable as their other products. Plugged unit in and turned it on set to high. Immediately felt air was too hot. Touched screen on front and it would have burned my finger if I had not jerked it away. Unplugged unit and let it sit for a day. Tried the next day and held a thermometer in front of the discharge. The reading went to 220F in a matter of seconds and then pegged out. I called customer service and got a very nice young lady in a foreign country who had to put me on hold for long waits while she consulted someone else. She finally agreed the unit was defective and needed to be returned. She took my email address and phone number and said she would email me instructions for returning the unit. Never heard from her again. This is a USA based company and I expected better customer service than this. Lasco, please move your customer service back home and train some good reps. ... show more
