I really wanted to give this net 5 stars because its well priced, functional, well made, easy to break down for storage, and a good size for small to medium sized fish, but I just can't get over how misleading the photos on the listing are compared to the item I received. In not 1 but in 3 of the photos, the handle appears much longer than what it actually is. I kept trying to rotate the handle to release more length so it would look more like the pictures, but eventually realized the handle is what it is and it doesn't get any longer. I got this net to use on my boat and its really too short for that purpose, so I'll use it when wade fishing instead. It would also be good for using on a kayak, but it is way too short to use on a bigger water craft. ... show more

This lightweight net collapses pretty well which is important for me. It has a pretty good reach. Setting it up and ready to go is easy enough. I haven't used it for fishing yet but believe this should do a decent job. Have tested different things in my pond and it works well.

The net itself is a good size and would accommodate a small dog who falls overboard or a large fish. My only issue is that I was unaware the handle is so short and you would need to be only an arms length for whatever you are trying to fish out of the water in order to reach it.
