It comes with a book for instructions. But what sold me was the video that clearly show how to use it. The legs go up and down and on an angle really helpful. I use it for reading and to hold my laptop 17 in. It's not flimsy and very sturdy. I use it on my bed with a pillow under the covers, I don't even move the pillow and it's still very steady. Love it. The size is good and the material it's made of, keeps it in place. They give you some type of plastic wedge that keeps things from falling but it's not needed. I’m so glad I purchased this table. It is lightweight but sturdy. It folds easily, yet it is stable. I used it to work from home while laying in bed after knee surgery, and loved how I could adjust the height, tilt it, and move it.

    • It's all in the little details...

There are literally 100's of different laptop trays being sold on Amazon, and prices range anywhere from $15 for the real basic surface to $120 for the fancier looking ones. In looking through many of them, I've come to realize that it's all about the little details. I made a list of things that suited my needs; surface size, height adjustable, collapsible, portability, are the obvious ones, but there are many less-obvious ones too. For example, is there something to keep your mouse from sliding down the surface if the table is tilted? Or is there something to support your laptop to prevent it from sliding off? How slippery is the surface? Or is it slightly tacky to keep things in place. How much does the thing weigh? How easy is it to maneuver the unit when you're in bed? On the couch? On the floor? What I concluded was that it was these small details that made the difference and defined what really mattered. This Saiji model has a techno-leather (pleather) surface which provides minimal tack and easy clean up for spills and stains. It has a removable bar to keep your laptop in place, an invisible lip to prevent your mouse from sliding completely off, and it has a hidden sliding drawer to keep some stationary or store your glasses. But what sealed the deal for me were the sleigh legs, allowing the ability to slide the table away from you and providing easy access in and out. Quality and Materials is the last thing you should consider. Alloys like aluminum are both lightweight and strong; in contrast, plastic is weak, and sadly I must report that the joints (leg and tilt) are plastic... the only downfall I found. This portable table is priced higher than most of it's competitors, but it contained all the features I was looking for. There's currently an additional 40% savings on top of the sale price (at time of this post) driving the price to about 60% off the RRP, so it's a really good deal in my opinion, so much so that I'm going to purchase a second one! ... show more

I hurt my back and couldn’t sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. It works perfect with my adjustable bed inclined on a 30 degree angle. This product is light weight, adjustable, the faux leather is slightly grippy (devices still slide when the table is tilted), and has good telescopic legs. After I had recovered enough, I then used it on a table to create a standing desk. I don’t think you’re going to find a better product for the price. It is “business professional” so it looks great, functions well, and really helped me when my back went out. Highly recommend. ... show more

I use this lap desk on a daily basis. I have used it as a desk when I'm working while sitting on the couch, a tray when I've made breakfast in bed, a table to fold my laundry on, a computer stand on my desk, and a drafting table/easel when I'm drawing. It is super easy to fold up and store underneath the couch or between furniture and the wall. The table is sturdy, well made, and very adjustable. I do wish it could go a little bit taller but have easily found workarounds by putting something under the legs. I love that the top tilts, as it makes it comfortable and ergonomic to use. I highly highly recommend this table. It's definitely a bit pricier than some of the other lap desks you can buy, but it is worth the price for how durable and versatile this item is. ... show more

I am a partial quadriplegic and sometimes spend my time in bed or in a recliner at home. This table is adjustable to my needs. Whether sitting in the chair or in bed. It has helped immensely whether I have my laptop on it, my tablet or for meals. You can also use it flat with the legs tucked under on your wheelchair or maybe just a breakfast tray. It is also very sturdy and easy to clean. I haven't found a use for the little tray that pulls out but for someone who may be colors or takes notes often, you can put pens in there to be ready at your disposal. ... show more
