  • My experience with the product
Model: 54
I recently purchased the AirLandSea GPS Locator, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my decision. As someone who frequently travels and often finds themselves in unfamiliar areas, having a reliable GPS tracker has proven invaluable. Design and Build Quality: The AirLandSea GPS Locator has a compact and rugged design that fits easily in my pocket. It has a durable casing that feels very Durable, making it great or outdoors. Setting up the device was a breeze. The user manual was clear and concise, and I had it up and running in no time. The accompanying app is intuitive and user-friendly, allowing me to track my location in real-time without any hassle. The GPS accuracy is impressive, with real-time tracking that updates every few seconds. I’ve tested it in various environments, including urban areas and dense forests, and it consistently provided precise location data. The battery life is also commendable; I’ve managed to use it for several days on a single charge. One of the standout features is the geofencing capability. I can set up specific zones and receive alerts when I enter or exit those areas, which is particularly useful for keeping tabs on my kids or pets. The SOS button is another great addition, providing peace of mind when out in the wilderness. I had a minor issue while setting up the app, and I reached out to customer support. They responded quickly and were incredibly helpful, guiding me through the troubleshooting process until everything worked perfectly. Considering the features and performance, the AirLandSea GPS Locator offers excellent value for money. It’s a worthwhile investment for anyone looking for a reliable tracking solution, whether for personal safety, travel, or outdoor activities. Overall, I highly recommend the AirLandSea GPS Locator to anyone in need of a dependable tracking device. Its combination of accuracy, durability, and user-friendly features make it a top choice. Whether you’re an adventurer, a parent, or just someone who values safety, this device is a fantastic option. ... show more

  • Does the job and strong magnet
Model: 54
Ive used a few of these over the last 4 years or so. Pros: durable, awesome magnet strength, price of the device itself is inexpensive, ability to use app to turn off the working lights on device as well as change the amount of time/intervals you want it to track, easy to set up and use, ability to put it multiple places, the satellite gives you ability to use even in rural areas, easy to cancel subscription. Cons: costly monthly fee (though depending on what you’re using it for it might be worth the cost), if in a car (example: you set it to transmit every 4 hours) doesn’t track or tell you where it’s been during that 4 hour window, battery runs out faster the shorter timeframe you set it to. In my case i used it to determine how often my cheating ex boyfriend was lying, which was pretty much all the time. With that said, I’m happy with this overall and a monthly subscription that can be cancelled at any time, was definitely worth my sanity when it came to a gaslighting, cheating, narcissistic lying spouse. I also have currently have one in my own vehicle just in case of theft. Depending on what you use it for (like when your cheating ex always has eyes on you bc they’re paranoid and have something to hide), this little thing makes it super easy to casually walk by the vehicle and the strong magnet will stick to almost anything. Depending on what you use it for, it can definitely be a life saver (especially bc it uses satellite capability). Sad that I had to use something like this at all, but with that said it did what it says it does. If you just want that additional security/peace of mind of knowing where your stuff is or if you suspect your being lied to….check your state laws first before you buy. ... show more

  • Nice device. Good support.
Model: 54
I didn't really get a chance to use this device much. I was going to use it to track our ducks, but getting our big Rouen drake to wear the thing is a bit traumatic on both of us. Haha. I should mention that I was asked to write a review by Vanna, a customer support representative, who helped me with the cancellation of my GPS tracking subscription. To her credit, she didn't ask for a "favorable" review and didn't guilt me about dropping the subscription. The review wasn't a precondition for anything. She put a lifetime warranty on the device because I purchased it through Amazon. All she needed was the order number, and she can do that for anyone, I think. Pros: Very easy to set up. It's a nice, solid little device, not overly large or heavy. It tracks fairly accurately (as well as any GPS device), and integrates well with location data from smartphones. (Every smartphone number needs a different account, but only one account has to have the tracking subscription.) Cons: I had hoped the device would be more waterproof. The circuitry itself is quite watertight, I think, but the battery compartment is not. It doesn't even try to be (no rubber seals, etc.) It does come with a silicone rubber cover that is supposed to waterproof it, but I don't know how good a job it would do. Perhaps with silicone grease inside??? I live in a marine environment, so I can't afford any water leakage at all. That's why I tied the thing up inside a rubber balloon. The clip for attaching the thing to a dog collar is attached with a tiny screw and is incompatible with the silicone rubber sleeve. Honestly, I wouldn't trust it, although the warranty would cover me in the event the thing fell off. The clip is absolutely a no-go with a duck! So my approach was to make a holder for it with an Ace bandage, fastened loosely around the duck's neck. Francis didn't like it at all! A more people-friendly duck might be more cooperative. Other cons: The LED indicators are a bit confusing without the instructions in your hand, but ON/OFF is easy enough. The beep is rather soft, so you might not hear it in a noisy environment or if you're too far away. Why I took a star off: I think the waterproof claims are a bit questionable. The silicone rubber encasement might repel splashes, but I doubt it would keep the battery compartment dry if your device took a dunk. Again, I suggest a rubber balloon, tied in a knot - or even a ziploc bag if you can afford the bulk. Overall, good device and good company. It's probably the best way to track anything that might not be in range of another smartphone but might be in range of a cell tower. If Francis were a better sport, I would be using it right now to track him and his little companions as they got into their daily mischief. :-) ... show more
