I wanted a short and curly afro-like style to wear with a headband. this product is so great for that! After i applied it as instructed, my hair felt so nice and the moisture was crazy good! It felt like I just sprayed it down with some type of long lasting lotion. It was so soft and nice. I wasn't sure if I could get my curls back after straightening it so many times but it works like a charm, no problem! Definitely get this if you want a cute curly style. Some things to point out: There will be shrinkage because the hair is curling up, so don't be surprised at the shortness. Also, don't try to straighten it or flat iron the hair while the product is in it. you'll need to wash it out and dry it before trying to straighten it again. I have thin, fine, naturally straight, permed hair. I absolutely love this product!!! The smell is amazing, very light & sweet scent. It makes my curls feel soft & silky & look super shiny & ultra hydrated. It looks great after using the hair dryer or just air dry. I have very little frizz when using this product. The only slight complaint I have is it is very sticky which makes it very difficult to run through my hair with my fingers because I always get globs of hair & that goo stuck all over my hands. I’ve used Garnier Fructis curl cream for the past several years but I think they have discontinued it (it was never my favorite product but it was cheap, easy to find at Walmart, & I don’t like mouse because it makes my dry permed hair even more dry & brittle). ... show more

I have to say that this is one of the best curl creams I have ever used. I had tried another product of this brand Creme of Nature by a friends recommendation and I really liked it (the gel from the flaxeed line). I saw this one here on amazon for only $5 and with great reviews and decided to try as well and I am so glad I did. I have 2c-3a hair and I am still not done with my transition so there are areas that don't define as well. My hair also is dry and it has medium porosity so I have invested a lot of money on creams and products way more expensive that do not give me the results this curl activator gives. First it is very concentrated so you only use a little bit and I have very long hair so this tube will last me for a while. It does not leaves residue, it crontrols frizz very well. I live in Miami and humidity here is crazy and it holds the shape of my curls all day and the day after I only have to do minimal revitalization. It leaves your hair shiny and super soft. I didn't read the instructions very well and used it like a rinse out conditioner at first. I still saw some benefit to my waves. When I finally read the tube and realized it was NOT to be rinsed out it worked lots better. Ha! I can see a definite change in my waves when I use the product correctly. It only takes a little of product, so this tube will last a while. It is light on the hair and smells great. No stiffness, no stickiness, just soft manageable waves. I was really hesitant to buy this product but I did, and I have no regrets. My expectations for curl definition were low because I have type 4 hair. I typically like to use curl activators as a styler for hold when doing cornrows/braids. But to my surprise it actually curled my hair when I used it in combination with a crave brush. It provides a really good hold without being hard or crunchy! It gives my hair shine. The scent is good (you can tell it's a honey product). It doesn't dry out my hair and keeps moisture in. The price is affordable. It is 10/10 all around. I cannot say if it mixes well with other products because I haven't done so.
