This raised garden kit is good, but get ready for a LOT of turning of bolts in nuts. When I got this kit, I was pleased to see that the top and bottom were rolled over to prevent getting cut on those edges. However, be aware that on either end of each piece, the metal is cut and not deburred. This leads to quite a sharp edge (that the company warns you about in very large letters) that will, thankfully, be mostly inaccessible once assembled. Be careful and you should be fine but consider using cut-resistant gloves. Assembly was straightforward. The pieces are all heavily galvanized, so your fingers will get quite dark through the process. There is extra hardware in case you drop any pieces (like I did) or one of the pieces has a bad thread (like I had). Despite my imperfect luck, I had a lot of extra hardware at the end. No tools are supplied so you will need to bring your own. Really, you just need a Phillips-head driver. The square nuts pretty much stay in place once things are finger-tightened so you can finish them off with the screwdriver. The only thing I wasn't pleased with is that the straight panels stick out just a bit on the top and bottom where they meet up with the rounded pieces. This leads to a sharp corner that can catch on clothing or skin. It surprised me that this fitment issue existed - it wasn't even that the pieces were better fitting one way or another. The flat panels are simply just a tad longer and stick out top and bottom, no matter how you try. This is a small detail and likely shouldn't cause many issues if you are careful. Once assembled, this is very sturdy and can be carried relatively easily. Be prepared to fill it with a LOT of material - it's very deep. I suspect it might deter the casual rabbit (or at least encourage them to look for an easier target) but you still might consider lining the outside with a little decorative garden edging. This is nearly a perfect product - I'm convinced the galvanized metal should fend off corrosion for a while, it's solid, goes together easily (but, again, requires a LOT of fasteners) but the uneven edges between the straight and curved pieces is what prevents it from getting a top rating. This is a nice easy to assemble raised bed. The material is about the minimum thickness to do the job, but it does the job. It requires (and includes) supports to keep the long sides from bowing out. Unlike the water trough that this looks like, this does not include a bottom. Once placed and filled, moving will be difficult at best. Honestly, that is probably best for a raised bed though, to allow for drainage. Overall, this is a good product. It looks nice and rustic after it is assembled. Time will tell as to how good the galvanized panels will hold up, but I expect it to last a couple decades. ... show more

This year I have greatly expanded my vegetable garden, mostly by use of raised beds and grow bags, so have had experience with a number of different brands and styles of beds. This one came with pluses and minuses, but overall, I think it is one of my favorites so far. This bed was easy to assemble. It took me about an hour with just my bare hands. When I was done, my husband tightened all the screws and nuts, also by hand. There are no written instructions for assembly, just a diagram, but the design is quite intuitive. The metal seemed thinner than some of the other raised beds I have assembled, and the pieces did not come together with total precision (at the top or bottom some pieces seemed to be a fraction of an inch higher than their neighbors. I don't think either factor will affect the use or durability of the bed. I especially like the height of this bed. Most of my others are 12 or 18 inches in height, which is sufficient for the crops I grow, but require me to bend or stoop over when planting, pruning, or harvesting. This higher bed should be easier on my old legs and back, making the whole gardening experience more enjoyable. I haven't filled the bed yet because most of my garden was already planted when I ordered it, but I look forward to planting it in the Spring. ... show more

I bought a difference bed the last time very well made. 2 panels were bent. They don't line up. They have raised metal on one of them. I never recommend this one. They r the same amount of money.

This has a stabilizer bar that you install in the middle which really helps prevent the issue some of these have with bowing. Overall I'm really pleased with this. I did fill a bit of the bottom with mulch to prevent my very tenacious grasss from managing to get into it. Otherwise though I used pretty heavy soil and this garden seems completely fine with that. I'm interested to see how well it lasts longterm- but for now it seems really sturdy. We setup this up as a garden for our 12 year old so she can plant her own plants without our dogs getting into them. Perfect solution to keep small dogs from playing in your plants. Great for people that don't have awesome soil or have drainage issues that would otherwise prevent gardening. ... show more

Assembly of this was made much easier by having a second person to assist. It went together easily and looks great helping to define a pathway in our front garden. The only issue is that the flat panels are just slightly longer than the rounded ones. You can't really see it, but there is a slight danger of scratches or clothing tears.
