After reading lots of reviews here on Amazon I have to admit I was skeptical but went ahead and purchased anyway. The chair is undoubtably the best I have ever owned. The only nitpick, as others have expressed, is the lack of a cup holder, other than that, it's perfect. Lots of negative reviews I read concerned the lack of a true locking mechanism for holding the chair in a certain position. It does not, have that ratchet mechanism that in my opinion is a pain to use, instead it has a mechanism to increase or decrease the friction on the slide bar. I have not yet found it necessary to use it as the chair is so well engineered that it holds me in any recline position. I'm 5'10" and weigh 165 lbs. and it works perfectly for me but I can't say for sure it would preform the same for all shapes and sizes. A friend of mine (5' 11" 230lbs} tried it out briefly and I didn't see any indication of him struggling to hold it in position. It's very comfortable and I would say that anyone who has back issues (like me} would find this chair a welcome addition. The only other complaint I have is that when my wife sat in the chair she didn't want to get out of it. So it ended up costing me another $259 to get one for her! But hey, it's cheaper than a divorce, right? Buy the chair, you won't be sorry. ... show more

I bought this chair while rehabbing an injury that I had to keep my foot elevated above my head. I bought this one because supposedly it goes higher than others. It definitely does and is super comfortable to sleep in. There was a slight defect with the material but I'm still giving it five stars because the seller 100% made it right by me with a small refund. Product surpassed expectations in terms of comfort, sturdiness, and my perception of the product quality (after 4 months of daily use). I bought an item that was in "Used - Like New" condition, at half the list price of 330 dollars. Tip for easier use: When returning the chair to an upright position, use your feet to push down on the foot rest while pulling on the front of each arm rest. Of minimal concern or easy to overlook (at half the list price): - Unfolding the chair can be a little tricky at first, but acceptable after initial use - The levers on the chair arms that lock the chair when reclined are sturdy, though they take some hand strength to engage; when the levers are fully engaged (i.e., when the chair is reclined), they do not completely lock into place; so, you have to balance your upper body a little in order to maintain the desired level of recline. ... show more

This chair is very comfortable, if a bit squeaky. Unfortunately, the clips that secure the fabric to the frame failed just after 2 years, well short of the 5 year guarantee they advertise for the product. It seems like planned obsolescence, as the previously available cord system could be replaced cheaply without needing to throw away the whole upholstery. I've attempted to contact support and will update this review if they make good on their warranty. Did lots of research for brands that would hold up. Found this one to be very reliable with warranty of 5 years I believe. My husband uses this to go to motorcycle track days, or just to lay back and listen to music in his heated garage. He loves it and esp. likes that there is no pressure on his back--it really does provide a great rest. Padding is very adequate and after a couple of moths use, we see no wear. I bought a table to attach for $10, but it didn't fit--we knew it was a gamble, so check this out further if you're getting one of those. I want to steal the chair back this summer for the deck. The pricing was a bit higher than I wanted to pay, but the reviews convinced me that a less expensive chair would probably fail in a short time. ... show more
