  • Great powerful personal blender
Color: Pink
I really love mine it blends tons of things and the lid is great for travel. I bought the pink color and it’s very nice.

  • Tasty smoothies
Color: Silver
Very powerful. Handles frozen fruit, no problem. Even leafy vegetables don't cause a problem. Sometimes have to add a little juice when veggies are a little dry. But that makes sense. I like it.

  • SO Close To Ideal
Color: Silver
Okay for the price, this blender is just awesome. It doesn't mean that it isn't without it's faults. Let's talk strengths first. Ease of use. There is no button to press to turn it on/off. This confused me a second. You place the mixing cup inside and just push down and the motor will engage...press down and twist and it'll stay on. There is only one speed though. Untwist and it'll stop. It's actually quite simple really. Fewer parts to mess up. Not sure about the strength of the motor though and I'm sorry to not be able to help in this area. I use it exclusively to make my protein shakes at work for breakfast. Just almond milk and powder. Doesn't require a super motor in order to mix those two ingredients...so I wish I could be more specific. Maybe one day I'll try a smoothie. It's easy to clean. As long as you secure the blending portion to the bottom of the cup, that portion of the device won't need regular cleaning in the same way the rest of the device will. Unscrew the bottom with the blades and run it under hot water with some soap and within seconds, it's done. Same with the bottle. VERY simple and easy to deal with. I like that. The lid that comes with the cup is designed for toddlers. The opening is SO damned small, it's almost a joke to use as an adult. You could turn the thing upside down and not much would come out. It would be nice if it included a second lid that had an opening that was twice that size for you know, normal people. Not a fan of the string that is attached to the lid, either. But you can remove it easily which I did. If you like it, you won't have an issue I'm sure. I guess the only thing left to learn is whether or not the product will last me long enough to seriously recommend it long-term to others. As it stands, it's an easy recommendation. But I would add that I haven't had it that long to be able to comment on it's durability, so keep that in mind. One of these days I'll try making that smoothie and I'll have something else to add to my review...until then, I am cautiously optimistic and so far, really like it. ... show more

  • It easy to travel with and emulsifies most things we’ll enough for smoothies.
Color: Silver
I bought it to use for smoothies when traveling. It works well enough for my purposes and is light weight and small enough to pack. I don’t expect it to be as powerful as the Bullet I use at home.

  • Smooth Operator

UPDATE: I've had this for almost 2 years now, using it 3-4 times per week for a breakfast smoothie. I've had no issues with it at all, however I thought I'd try something with more power in case I wanted to make a frozen drink, so I decided to order a Ninja BN301 Nutriblender for $60. Here are the differences: This blender is 300w, the Ninja is 600w This blender makes a smoothie in 15-20 seconds, the Ninja makes a smoothie in 15-20 seconds. This blender's blades aren't as sharp at the Ninja blade, but the difference in the end product is barely noticeable. This blender has the threads for screwing on the cutter blades and cap on the outside, like a normal jar. The Ninja has the threads on the inside, causing them to get filled with smoothie when removing the cutting blades and attaching the pour or storage cap. Why would they design it that way? The one and only improvement of the Ninja over this blender is the hole size of the pour spout is about three times larger. I'm sending the Ninja BN301 back. I have a big Cuisinart blender which I rarely use because it's too much of a hassle for most of my needs. I was going to purchase the Hamilton Beach personal blender, but with 175 watts, it seemed a bit too light duty. This unit with 300 watts seemed a bit more appropriate. First, let me state that I own the above big blender, a Cuisinart food processor and a Cuisinart immersion blender. I bought the LaReveuse Smoothies Blender just for that purpose, smoothies. Secondly, let me address some comments made by other users: 1. Tab(s) breaking off. The jar has three tabs (lugs) that allow the jar to lock in place on the motor base. I have no idea how you break one of these off. Really, given the stoutness of the material and the location of the lugs, I really can't fathom how you could break one off. Even if you did break one or more tabs off, they sell replacement jars, lids and blades on Amazon. 2. To address the comment of another reviewer, the locking tabs (lugs) not only lock the jar into place, they are part of the "switch" for the motor. The motor base does not have a visible switch. Align the locking tabs (lugs) with the slots on the motor base and push down for momentary on. Ease up on the pressure and the ...motor turns off. If you want the motor to stay on (no more than 1 minute per the manufacturer), simply push down, give the jar a slight clockwise turn and Voila, it stays on. To turn of, simply turn the jar a slight turn counter clockwise. So if you don't want the motor turning on when you plug the unit in place, don't lock the jar on the motor. Pretty simple. 3. Addressing the comment that the jar is too flexible. Really? ...REALLY? No it isn't as firm as a glass jar (won't break like glass either), but it isn't a plastic bag either. It has a SLIGHT flex if you really squeeze it. If you handle it like I think most people will, you won't notice any flex at all. Okay, enough of all that, how well does it work? As said, I bought this to make smoothies. My typical smoothie consists of something like the following: 1 peach (skin on), 1/2 banana, big handful of blueberries, 1 individual serving cup (5.3 oz) of yogurt (plain or some fruit flavored) and maybe 1/4 to 1/3 cup of low-fat milk. Toss all that in, screw on the blade cap, set the jar on the motor base and gently press down. I pulse it a few times (2-3 seconds per pulse, just like you would a full size blender), then I leave it on for about 10-15 seconds. DONE! That's it, and for 20 bucks, how could anyone possibly complain? ... show more
